My son just started a 2 day a week job with a local heating and cooling company and he is a senior in high school I am so proud of him I have 2 bachelors' degrees and a master degree and if I could go back I would do what he is doing!! I hope many Americans start to realize that we need to make things again A nation of makers is a nation of thinkers!!

I work for a company that builds our products in Central Oregon which we source what we can localy but to make it profitable we often have to source certain parts and components from other countries I do take pride in being a part of something made in USA! Love your content, keep it coming!

Most of us are forced to make that decision of buying the quality item or the cheaper one thats good enough & knowing the better item that will last soo much longer & actually save you money in the long run just costs too much right now so we make the wrong choice too often, having said that there some places ya just cant or shouldnt pick the cheaper one & for me thats toilet paper, pocket knife, work boots & mac & cheese

It's a throw-away world we live in, and this was created by NAFTA and corporate greed Have your product made for a fraction of US labor costs, with cheaper materials, sell it for the same price when it fails just throw it away and get a new one I still have, and use, kitchen appliances made in the 60's and 70's that I got off my parents (mixers, electric knife, waffle iron, blender, etc) that still serve me well This reminds me of the adage "pay me now or pay me later" but of course the marketing "geniuses" will have you believe if you don't have the latest and greatest new gadget you're not keeping up with cultural status

I grew up in the 70's & learned from watching my parents shop, to buy American I remember going to Sears wMom & she was always looking at the tags on clothing When I questioned why she did that (because clothes was already divided by size), she explained to me how important it was to buy American Both her & my Dad always preached to me that philosophy & I've watched the decline of American made products dwindle over the years & am saddened Glad some stuck it out & others are coming back!

There have not been pay advances in decades because (1) women were sold the idea that its better to be a corporate slave than to nurture their children Right there we basically doubled the workforce (2) We offshored every factory and white collar job we could; and (3) we have permitted tens of millions of destitute people to come in and take the low skill and entry level jobs What happened is obvious The solutions are simple but will take generations to implement And it's moot because we as a nation do not have the political will to do it anyway
