I feel like everyone accusing Mike of being a "work tourist" or whatever seems to have missed the point of the show and his following work entirely The intention was to show people the nasty ass shit that people have to do every day in order to keep society running on a day to day basis The overlooked, unknown, and disregarded jobs that keep us comfortable and keep our infrastructure from imploding, and the people who do those jobs The intention was to shine a light on things otherwise kept in the dark and to educate and inform the ignorant masses People talking about how he's a bad guy for not working those jobs for an extended period and more or less inhabiting the entire lives of those he featured on the show seem to breally/b be reaching to me I get why some people might be suspicious of him and aggravated by some of the apparent hypocrisy and contradictory things he's said over the years, but that doesn't seem to be what people are talking about in the comments here Also, how much of that stuff allegedly misrepresented can really be directly attributed to any ill-intent or deliberate deception on his part?
