Might I suggest to your viewers that a 6” dado is totally sufficient for this saw It requires less power from the saw and you should never need to cut deeper than what the 6 inch can do Plus, it’s definitely cheaper than an 8 inch I’ve been using my 6 inch data set for over two years now with no issues whatsoever

i've had mine for three years and it has been great Always use a thin kerf blade and get the Dewalt dado stack set if you had cut out all the Elvis crap it would be the same information and you would be taken more seriously (more subscribers more money) perhaps therapy is recommended

Very informative video with the exception that it didn't address some of the complaints in other reviews (loose or wobbly arbor, table less than dead flat, fence not parallel to the blade, motor mount that loosens, etc) Bottom line This video maked me want to buy this saw but other videos or reviews are staring me off

You can get cheap roller stands from harbor freight They work pretty well as an out feed table You can get three of them for about $60 total One in front, one in back, and one to the side you can rip any size sheet by yourself

For the money this is a great saw On my saw while the table isn't dead flat the couple of low spots roughly the size of your thumb nail are no more than the thickness of 2 sheets of notebook paper so I guess I lucked out 🤷‍♂️ Once I got everything dialed in it cuts pretty dang accurate, plus with it being able to fold & stow is a awesome feature While I may not use it everyday , when I do go to use it I'm only limited by my ability to do so An yes that Miter gauge is J-U-N-K , the first few times I ended up putting several layers of painters tape along the edge of the miter gauge to take up that awful side to side Slop I'm guessing they threw that thing in there to hold down the price of the saw

I have had mine for about 6 years My only real gripe is that the top is not that flat Others saws of the same style only cut 24" wide The mitre saw is a POS indeed The rack-n-pinion drive for the fence is great Easy to make that small adjustments very easily

I've been using rhe first gen for about 18 years now, great saw but the ripping capabilities are limited, I just upgraded to this model, I'm still getting use to I rip a lot of 4x8s alobe with no problems you only need a pair of adjustable saw horses and a sheet of plywood for your out feeeder and the rest it's easy

I bought and returned this saw three times, and it's because of one issue: I just can't get the fence square to the table It's easy enough to adjust the fence so it's square to the miter slot, but if I put a square up against the fence, the upper portion of the fence is closer to the blade than the lower portion is There is absolutely no way to adjust the fence for this issue, and it seems every model I buy has this problem It was a huge PITA I had to haul this massive, heavy box home, pull out all the materials, and start setting up the saw only to discover the fence is permanently messed up This required me to repack everything and take the heavy box back to the store What kills me is everyone states it's the best job site table saw out there

i have an issue with this saw that the blade/riving knife shake for a brief moment on startup Enough so that if i saw the saw with the blade up through a ZCI or crosscut sled that it causes tearout on the sides and has widened parts of my sled by 1/32 wider than the kerf Anyone notice this? Once the saw is up to speed it cuts perfectly The workaround of starting the saw and raising it while spinning seems cumbersome and not practical

I just bought this saw to upgrade from the dw745 I'm a contractor and this has all the power I need However not a fan of the included stand So I use the old one which was dewalts universal table saw stan it is more heavy duty in my opinion Great video thanks for the review

I have an earlier version of that saw and I love it It is my first saw I have made over a dozen jigs for it and they really help me with accuracy and safety The deciding factor that sent me to this saw is the R&P fence movement Very adjustable and very accurate

I've watched a ton of these setup and retrospective videos on this saw, and maybe I missed it but I have yet to see anyone mention about the depth of the saw shifting due to that bolt being loose, so I really appreciate that tip I would have never even though of it, and I'm sure it would have been slipping depth slowly without me noticing for a while

I have had that saw for @ 5 years and really like it Bought it primarily because I needed to get both cars in the garage so folding it up was key If I didn’t have that requirement I would have bought the Delta saw for about the same price
