Also, out of the box, the Kobalt has wider rip capacity: left and right - 17 and 325 inches vs Skill: 14 and 255 inches, according to their websites, if you're interested in that aspect

Take that miter gauge off, flip it over, and strike the bottom of the rail with a ball peen hammer, on both ends, it may take a few strikes to take all the slop out of the fit Don't hit it too hard the first time, some rails are harder than others, you don't want to over do it

I purchased this saw and am struggling with the way the fence mounts to the rails It just has a little bolt that goes in And out and has a lot of play vertically that doesn’t look to have adjustment The rails look the same at a glance on these rack and pinion table saws Does anyone know if another brand fence will attach? I’ve played with a dewalt and even a Hercules at HF, and both have zero movement

I got the one with the stand on sale for $275 I will say this the instructions to put the stand together are horrible No parts are labeled The diagrams are small and hard to read Very frustrating

Dont buy this brand I bought a kobalt table saw and it is a fantastic piece of crap The fence is the most inaccurate catastrophe known to man, the blade height adjustment screw broke so now it's stuck, and the cross rip accessory has so much play in it that it will never give you a straight cut I would avoid!

I just purchased this one I saw you skil review and just stumbled into this video today before pulling the trigger The reason I got this saw was its on sale and basically you are getting the stand version for the table top price I was an automotive technician for 20 years, and now I got a stay at home job and want to get into woodworking As a little kid my grandpa, after retiring made cabinets and wooded trash cans I want take what he did to the next level

I'm surprised that no one mentions the dangers addressed by the Brits who don't allow, in fact the Daddo blade set up is illegal in the UK I noticed the start stop switch doesn't have a lock out location in its mechanism Also you can't adjust it for 47 degrees or 2 degrees negative Also either making your own DIY out feed extension would have been nice I think Skill has that option as it telescopes out

I bought this saw based on your review It’s decent for the price! Definitely a good entry level choice Only major complaint is the throat plate isn’t flat so it can’t be properly leveled brUnfortunately for the saw it’s being abused and probably ultimately sacrificed for composite exterior trim and siding

I did not see any diagnostic measurements If an in-depth review, including testing for straightness of parts, this would not be a good table saw Is the fence straight and not warped, or is the table top flat without low parts greater than other saws, for example You get what you pay for

The Koballt TS10602 has a throat plate with an Engineering Blunder There is a shiny piece of metal at the outfeed end of this plate, which rises above the surface of the rest of the casting This causes wood work pieces to sometimes catch and stall when moving through the blade This runis the cut typically and is unacceptable in a brand new sawbrWHAT exactly is this ridiculous feature supposed to do? Now I have to find a solution to fix a brand new saw that is wasting my time I will be talking to Kobalt, but will they just send me another one of the same? This is what happens with a major lot of products that are poorly engineered in these times So I have to modify this one or have one custom made from scratch Disappointing Any solutions are helpfulbrThanks

I bought the skill has many of the same features plus legs Except for the noise it’s a great saw for a two car garage home shop The other tool I will recommend is the Wen spiral planer, I bought carbide cutters for it and it is perfect for me I have had good luck with Wen tools in general, I have a lot of dewalt tools also but for a part time home shop I have been pleased

I have a 7yo Ridgid jobsite saw that has served me very well, similar price point, poor dust collection and fewer features I definitely like the Kobalt/Dewalt type fence better but I have to say the Ridgid is easy to keep square Curious to see how well the Kobalt holds up after a couple years of use

Thank you for the review I am a Kobalt user and I finally bought this table saw (but I bought the folding portable version on wheels) Had it about a month and haven't had time to use it Hahaha love that I can fold it up and take up less space as my bigger table saw that finally died Glad to hear from you that it is strong and worth it Kobalt had a good warranty as well Never had to really use it, though I bought it at full price and a month later it went on sale and my local Lowes manager gave me the price difference I will look into that bow fence thing Thanks again, from another family member in Christ
