The usual answer is antidepressant tablets, as that’s the first thing the doctor wants to prescribe, an easy option, to get you out the door ,I’ve never been a fan of medications, and rather find the root of the cause ,unfortunately when you say such words to a doctor ,it just seems to go over their head ,yes they do give you a help line number for cbt therapy, unfortunately the wait time for that is just ridiculous, and when you get to see someone, it will usually end up with some form of medication, a bit of a vicious circle ,so from the visit to your doctor ,and explaining your problems to a therapist, usually the outcome is just the same , medications, tbh I know people that have been on antidepressant tablets for years , and it seems once your prescribed them that’s it and get forgotten about, that’s just not right ,personally the doctors spend to much time calling patients back ,than actually seeing them ,the end of the day most people call the doctors to be seen and not to be Valuated if you actually need to be seen ,sometimes medications are given and sent to your pharmacist and this is prescribed on the information you give over the phone ,when I younger it was just the case of ringing up and booking an appointment ,that’s my rant 🤬 Comment from : @gingerninja7187 |
