You speak with so much clarity, logic and calm in your voice I have done therapies in the past, but I'm still stuck with many persisting issues while I can't escape challenging situations OK, a "challenging situation" is likely a cognitive distortion Got it Wait a sec, is this true or false positivity? I guess it could be both I would think if our safety is critical, we can't afford the false positivity Otherwise, I can only see the benefits Thank you so much

This video is life changing! For me the key takeaway is that one should focus on initiating a positive behaviour without really waiting to feel like doing so Engaging in positive behaviour can later bring in the positive feeling, so "Move a muscle, change a thought"!

This totally makes sense! I've been trying to learn more and more about CBT I have just been diagnosed with ADHD, at 58, trying to find a way to help my adult son with ADHD, get help for his depression to no avail He is stuck, jobless has a family with 2 kids and won't take necessary steps to get the help he needs

I’ve never liked the 0-10 degrees! I prefer the other route to get the person to disagree; strongly disagree; agree; strongly agree or other…cause sometimes you really don’t know how to answer that question! And the person giving the test doesn’t believe that you are telling the truth, you’re really stuck! You really can’t answer cause the correct answer isn’t coming up into your mind/heart! Thus I had to leave the paper (test) undone due to the foolish psychotherapist not believing me So, he marked it by saying I wasn’t willing to complete the test! Thus I didn’t get any results back from the idiot! Yeah I know I said that word But that’s how I honestly felt I simply couldn’t win I couldn’t get it through his head that I was sincerely struggling & stuck!!! 🤷‍♀️😠😭

I know that I’ve been traumatized in my past life experience(s)! Never ever got the critical help I desperately needed Been hospitalized 2x due to suicidal ideation/thoughts! I’m now in my early 60s This has been creating me hell for most of my life! 🥺😢💔🤦‍♀️😣

I am 32 and I have been drowned in my thoughts all my life brI got addicted to my thoughts because it keeps me busy and I don't need to socialize with people brHence, I have lost the ability to listen and follow up conversationsbrI rely on reading for my own understandingsbrIt's becoming much of a problem to me now because online meetings have become an integral part of our work We have lesser documentations and it's required of me to take the lead on certain activitiesbrI need help to improve my cognitive ability

Very much this is making so much sense to me,and I need to watch all your videos because I need a lot of help, I Have ptsd ADHD,panic disorder,anxiety and because of learning about avoidance I'm agoraphobic,I have COPD so I do have real fears but because none ever explained anxiety and how my brain works ive made myself so much more sick,so thank you I'm learning so much from you,thank you!
