As a musician I have to be honest, my appreciation for the music and it’s nuances way out paces that of those listening to my music For that reason I typically opt for the reliability of solid state systems since the only one that is really paying attention to the amp type is me In the end it’s what I’m putting into it that really matters

I really like he idea of the amp modelers for their versatility giving many options of amps, practicality easy to carry and access to many options and in the end price, one price instead of paying for all of the different types of amps

I got the A and B and thought that C and D would be either tube or emulation I didn't even try to guess whuch one is which because in modern world tube emulation sounds very similar to tube itself and i gave up to find the obvious difference between them

personally I think that the best sounding ones are the tube ones and the most recent and advanced amp simulators They have a harmonic richness (which come from the power amp tubes or from the digital emulation of them) which really add that extra kick This said, the Orange Dark terror is such a good tone in such a tiny package that it's unbelievable!

I have an orange tube amp head and the Vox MV50 ("Nu-tube" tech - kinda hybrid thing) I really like them both The Vox is so small I put it in my gig bag for live shows and just plug into either FOH or whatever speaker cab they have there Super convenient and sounds great

To be honest I thought the tube amp track was A, the Solid State track was B, and the Hybrid track was C I have the orange super crush 100 and run models of my now sold Peavy invective through the power section and try to blend the dirty channel with the invective capture I have

Tube amps sound more vintage and warm and full with a bunch of cut already Solid state sounds more modern and in your face but it needs more tweaking to sit properly in a mix imo My favorite is the hybrid sound

I actually liked the solid state the best But I suspect that was just a difference in the EQ curve The tube amp sounded darker, and our ears naturally gravitate toward brighter sounds At least mine do
