As long as the cheap guitar doesn't have bad frets or neck warps, you have the foundation to change up to better pickups as you can afford them Get the better amp and either upgrade the guitar/guitar parts when you can or just use the little knob thingy's to shape your tone and just enjoy the ride

So I have 2 feelings on this and they sorta work in tandem Get the nicest guitar you can get Expense doesn't really have to be your focus because there's cheap guitars that sound and play amazingly and there's expensive guitars that happen to be the one shitty example of an otherwise very high quality production run A guitar that sounds good will sound good thru a cheap amp and better through a higher quality amp but a bad sounding guitar will sound bad thru both A good amp is more or less going to open up space sonically for the guitar to produce its best sounds brbrMy other thought is that all amps can be modified Cheap coupling caps can be swapped to better ones, crappy tonestacks can be rebuilt, frankly you can jumper between component slots on any PCB to do a hell of a lot to completely reconfigure the design of an amp if you either know what youre doing or have detailed instructions from someone who does and that's to say nothing at all about turret or eyelet board amps which can literally just be completely redesigned with the only limit being the spacing of the turrets themselves and not even that if you're either down to replace the board with another or working with a truly point to point amplifierbrbrShortly, get the guitar that sounds and plays best for you and play it thru the best sounding amp you can afford once you've done that

if you’re going for a more clear sound, you should probably go for the cheap guitar expensive amp but if you want a vintage style, you could do expensive guitar cheap amp

You can say that I'm lying, but my guitar costs ₽5,000 (that's about $50), my bass amp costs ₽5,000(about $50) and together they sound incredible! (yes, I play guitar with a bass amp)
