I started at age 61 a very sad beginner with absolutely no clue about amps First thing I did was choose a reputable brand name such as Fender and decided on CD-60s acoustic and Squire Sonic Stratocaster HT Time to pick an amp with little cash left over My eye on the Frontman 10g watching all the negative reviews about this amp and decided to buy it anyway Needed to have my own personal experience with an amp with bad reviews so I would know for myself A few months later I am still a 10 minutes a day sad beginner that bought a Fender Mustang LT25 which has a lot of awesome reviews With two amps I can now have my own hands on experience and decide myself what SOUND I like more than the other I saw a photo of Joe Perry in his home living room practicing his guitar using this cute little pink (unknown brand) amp and renewed my knowledge that it’s the artist and not the equipment Now it’s been a year for me no longer a sad beginner and now an experience beginner level wishing I could play like Stevie Ray Vaughan Oh well, life goes on working those chords Comment from : @Keithphotorama |

Hey your videos are addictive!!! I'm basically a clean tone guy have a couple of mini pedals for some basic mod effects I guess a modelling amp shouldn't be the right one for me I have a good old Marshall MG 10 for over 15 years, and it's serving me well to this date Honestly, I absolutely love it!♥♥♥ Thought of getting a Fender Champion 40 but dropped the idea, as I'd prefer to apply the effects through the pedals rather than the amp Now I'm thinking, is the Marshall MG 15 CF good for me if I just need an upgrade in terms of volume and power? For home use with bigger amps, I recommend a volume pedal A good volume pedal will keep your tone the same, but at lower volumes Now that I found out how much volume can be reduced with one, I am no longer scared of how loud a bigger tube amp will be in my house I will use a 2x12 Cab which is all you need for only small and medium sized gigs and if you are on a mic at bigger shows than you will be able to get enough volume anyways plus if you are too loud over drums, a volume pedal can always fix that As for 4x12s sounding fuller, in a band mix I don't want too much bass anyways Comment from : @SpartanLaserCanon |

Nobody will care what I say but - I am a valve guy - through and through - I own two rocks and personalised valve amps and vintage However I recently played a solid state line 6 - the tones I could get were pretty similar and certainly not worth the price tag for getting a valve Tone comes from the player not the amp!!
