Hey, I have switched from a windows user to a mac as well All the cons you mentioned have a shortcut to fix it There might be a third party app or a native mac feature for the fixes, it just takes some time to figure them out Many of the comments mentions the fixes for it as well I have shifted from my windows PC to a mac and that's one of the best desion I made in my life

My current laptop is also a Surface (Book 2) Maxed out too, 15in, GTX 1060, 1TB Windows 10 was a little janky even when it just came out It heats up a fair bit, it heat up so bad it fried a bit internally, twice had to get replacements I haven't done anything too intensive on my third one, just blender, Zbrush, documents, etc Went on great till my GTX 1060 disappeared a few months ago For a 3300 dollars laptop, it was the worst That 1060 thermal throttled all the time On Windows 11 even firefox spins the fan I'm saving up for a Macbook Pro instead

There is something about the look and feel of the Windows UI that I find to be indescribably beautiful When I see that it makes me happy, when I don't I long for it Using a Macbook makes me feel like I'm using something for kids, it just gives off a "toy vibe" the way the UI looks But when I use a windows laptop, it makes me feel productive and go into "work mode" And this is like something I can't mentally turn off But I'll admit the build quality for mac laptops is way better - the hardware for macs is amazing

Apple do just one thing right the animations it make you feel that the product is snappy, fast and polished in reality is at the same level, or worse than flagship competetion realized that on iphone 16PM vs s23 U which i have i can do everything much faster on Samsung, but iphone feels better, the animations are more polished ( Only phone that beat iphone is Oneplus) to laptops, i have zephyrus g16 240 hz Oled , speakers about the same as on mac, 7000mb/s 2Tb ssd, and Rtx 4090 which destroy macbook in every single task all of that in alluminum unibody, which is lighter and thinner than macbook

At 61, I have over 10 Windows laptops and desktop but it will last from 6 months to 3 years Surface top of the lines last 4 months and dead at the same times (SB 1, SP 7) I had an 12 inch airbook that I sold $750 My HP Spectre last me 5 years that is the longest Windows that last longest of all Now it is broke and I am switching to Macbook Air 15inc because it will last me 10 years of longer It is worth of investment it cost more to own Windows PC when you have to buy every 3 years that added up more than Macbook
