I ordered a conversion from Wilson combat for my Remington R1S high polished stainless steel that removes the firing pin safety mechanism and makes a better trigger pull I believe my kimber is a series 80 also

I have the stainless Springfield Mil-Spec Mil-Spec means if anything goes wrong I can use parts from any other 1911A1 maker that is Mil-Spec I've shot 1911's since my time in service in the early 70's and am kinda stuck on them Nothing wrong with any of them You buy what you like and can afford

A lot of people hear “cast” and think it’s junk…I don’t know bout Remington but Ruger uses a process called investment casting which is extremely superior in strength and tolerances over die casting

Wow your videos have really improved in the last 5 yearsnot that this one is bad I own a lot of 1911's and do own all of these reviewed here I have one Remington R1 and one Ruger SR1911 at present I probably have over six Springfield 1911's at lest half of them are 1911 Mil-Spec's only because I buy used guns at what I feel are priced right and I find a lot Mil-Spec Springfield's for sale at reasonable prices Saying that I probably put more rounds through the Ruger & Remington I like the Ruger & Remington a lot My first Springfield 1911 was not great so maybe that is why I buy them and they just get parked in the gun safe

While I cannot speak about Remington I can speak about the Springfield Armory A1 Mil Spec and the Ruger SR 1911 In comparing the two I will say the Ruger SR 1911 has the absolute better trigger However overall my personal opinion is the Springfield Armory A1 Mil Spec is the better built tougher of the two pistols!! I can hold both pistols in my hands and yes feel the difference between the two Springfield Armory A1 Mil Spec is the winner for overall toughness and quality!!!

I own the R1 It is plenty accurate Mine came with a match grade barrel and barrel nut There is a tiny bit of stacking in the trigger but over a very short area because the pull is short I can knock down all the plates with it Having compared it to the SR1955, the Remington has a tighter action The Ruger has some play when you jiggle itbrThe gun I just picked up that is worthy of note is the Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911 That one is outstanding My favorite pistol

A number of years ago, when I checked out these 3 at my local Gun Shop, I went for the RUGER SR1911 Commander simply for the extra features: the beaver tail grip safety, the bobbed hammer, the skeletonized trigger and the Novak sights The other 2 had none of those When I looked at the Remington, the price tag was over a thousand bucks and I picked up my Ruger for $89900 Anything from Springfield Armory also will get you over the thousand dollar mark Neither the Springfield nor the Remington gave me anything over and above the Ruger that would justify the price point Besides which, the Ruger felt better in my hand and I subsequently found that it shoots extremely well right out of the box
