Great video Daniel, I appreciate all your information provided in your videos and have implemented it into practice, there are a few key dates with Peace dollars that even cleaned are worth the $$$ and getting them graded which will increase the value from what I have seen versus trying to sell cleaned and ungraded you wont see much if any returnbrThanks Again !!! Great advice, Daniel!brIf this will help at all:brWhen I train someone in grading, I’ve interspersed problem coins (from merely wiped all the way to polished) in my grading set but didn’t ID them as such This is to force them to evaluate for problems first before even attempting to grade brYou point out the great difficulty in evaluating on the net That’s 2D emanated light We really need 3D reflected light in person to discover subtle cleaning or hairlines from wiping / rubbing brMy thank😊s for your great education! some cleaned coins are very eye appealing, and look pretty dang good, and in most cases are way more affordableI have bought both Comment from : @lonnieosbourne818 |

I've had one cleaned coin that sold for over $10 thousand It wasn't harshly cleaned and the internationally recognized expert declared it to be the finest known, better than in the British museums 1839 British Crown - Proof only - only given as gifts to royalty -262 minted and less than 60 know to exist Comment from : @mikebarushok5361 |

You have a good idea of training your eye on cleaned coin images you make yourself and therefore provide many scenarios from a smaller quantity of physical examplesbrbrThird party grading has been invaluable for identifying significantly cleaned coins and counterfeits I'd be very careful buying raw coins without being able to inspect them in hand and especially if they are expensive I'm only willing to buy a raw coin up to a certain price range Above that, I'll only buy slabbed coins because I know my limitation of not being able to identify high quality counterfeits or missing cleaning evidence from time to timebrbrGood video, thank you Comment from : @MarkB3h |
|

Hey, I agree cleaned coins aren't really an issue if priced correctlybrbrThe thing always sitting on my mind, how much easier would counterfeiters find replicating a cleaned coin rare datebrIt seems almost impossible to replicate 200 years of coin dirt and oxidation Comment from : @saltymemesmith |

Hello Daniel, could you make a video of how you inventory all your coins? If I asked you if you had a certain year/mint coin, would you know if you had one? I keep a ledger and am always adding but wonder how a dealer does it Comment from : @curtiskelly6724 |

You are talking about coins with numismatic value, correct? It seems to me there is nothing wrong with common date cleaned coins with no value beyond their silver content In fact, cleaned coins with no numismatic value are more attractive because uncleaned coins are quite often so dirty you get your hands dirty handling them Comment from : @rufferto5429 |
