Bought a Glock 17 for like $475, not much cheaper than new but one store wanted like 650 for it new, thing was barely used, like a sucker i paid sticker price, dude was cool and dropped like 25buck tho, I went to a pawn like 30min before closing and lazy bastards putting away the guns and didn't want to show me anything, some ppl must like making money I quess

Man, I found a Mexican Strat about 6 months ago at a local pawn shop I walked in willing to spend 35000 out the door and they turned it down The guitar obviously had been dropped It had a huge gouge in the bottom of the bodybrbrI held off for about a month and a half and went back to find the same guitar still collecting dust Again, I offered them 35000 out the door and again they turned it downbrbrI finally got fed up and started looking on my local Buy/Sell groups on Facebook and found one for $27500 with the case and bought it that afternoon brbrThat place should change their name to "Museum" instead of "Pawn Shop" seeing how they want to hold on to their stuff

Bundling more than one item is another tip you shared that is a really good one As a salesman I used it all the time to help move a dog item, something that had been sitting there for awhile How long an item has been on the shelf also directly effects the negotiation They may have overpaid for , say the Vox, and underpaid for the Bugera If you buy the Bugera, the sale come out better on paper, with better margin for the store, for that sale

Hi, great info I was a pawnbroker for a few years Great job and I had a blast buying and selling musical gear every day Your numbers were my general numbers Half of new and half of thatI usually didn't lowball them at first though And, yes , if it's a nicer piece, I would usually give more than half {Jewelry was the big exception 1/3 of used sale price was my purchase price}
