I just have everything set to auto-pay my first paycheck covers personal bills, second will cover housing/utilities, I don’t really have a system I’m just naturally frugal … I stay home, I don’t buy unnecessary “stuff” ever I always have money I can move to investing or my HYSA I have no car note, no subscription services, no DoorDash none of that stuff that just makes spending money “easier” just being frugal and disciplined on unnecessary spending Comment from : @Andrew_406 |
My retirement is taken care of by my 403b I get paid every other Thursday I do not use my debit card at all and use my credit card for all my expenses I pay my credit card bills in full twice a month My first Thursday is always more expensive than my second Thursday so I put all my utility/ rent bill on my first Thursday On my second Thursday after paying my credit card bills, I put a great chunk of that money into my emergency savings I'm 92 near my 3 months salary in my emergency fund (high yield savings account) After that I plan on putting money into the stock Market I already have a small amount invested in the s&p I may open a Roth ira as well within the next year or so If I was more intentional with budgeting I probably would save and be investing a lot more money Comment from : @bre97bj |

I’m so glad to see other black people talking about this I feel like this isn’t talked about enough especially within our communities My mom never taught me budgeting I learned by just watching her struggle to pay bills all the time She still does to this day and I’m mind blown I didn’t learn about paying myself first until I was 22 That tip alone changed my financial standing immensely I budget every month and my budget is broken down for the entire year I only have to make little changes here and there This stuff is so necessary for life! I never got myself caught in the trap of getting a car payment even though I came very close Brought every car I owned with hard earned cash People look at me like I’m crazy but hey…I ain’t broke! 😭🤷🏽♀️ Comment from : @divinemessenger2030 |

@4:15, What age range does your channel target? Because if someone over the age of eighteen believe “they need” a pair of Air Jordan’s, their problems are bigger than their debts brbrNumber 9,… which should be number 1, Invest time and money in your health, financial education and your young children (if applicable) Again, INVEST IN YOUR CHILDREN! The issue with a lot of these money videos is they aren’t directed to me or people in my situation it’s a good video but the amount of money you take out of each check is not realistic for me I don’t make much at all and most Americans couldn’t hope to do all of this Comment from : @godkingbosssavage7877 |

I live paycheck to paycheck and the rest is having to go on my credit cards That's not for just wasted junk It's for every day have to have living That's gaining interest fast and now I'm $6,000 in credit card debt, that I can't tackle when I don't have money to put towards itbrI don't know what to do I feel like I'm drowning in debt and I'm about to take my last breath We've sold everything we can sell We're driving a hunk of junk That's barely making it to jobs and back brI wish I could get on track Comment from : @momof13gifts |

Always keep an emergency buffer in your current account, whether that's 100, 500, 1k or 3k Pay all bills as soon as you get paid, have as many bills as possible on direct debit on a set date (a few days after you get paid) Budget your weekly food shop and stick to it as much as you can Sweep a set amount into your savings / pension every month at the start of the month (or each paycheck) If you dip below the buffer towards the end of the month, take it out of savings but understand that this is an exception, not the rule Anything left at the end is for fun or investment (Invest) Comment from : @DanielEbeck |
