I would actually suggest Harry I don't think that any of Bellatrix's money came from the Black family line, as both the Black family and the Lestrange family had a major fixation on male heirs It is said that Sirius was the last of the House of Black, which meant that neither Narcissa nor Bellatrix were considered heirs to the family And we know that Sirius, despite being disowned, inherited the family home, so its likely that he also inherited the vast majority of the Black estate When Sirius died, he pasted that estate down to Harry, adding to Harry's already notable fortune This probably made Harry the wealthiest wizard in the British isles

By the end of the books Harry may well have been the richest ( in Britan ) wizardnot only would he have inherited the Potter and Black fortune, when Voldermort was defeated wizards and witches sent gifts to Harry as a baby both as a thank you and to gain favour later in life when bellatrix died her fortune probably automatically went to the next head of the black family which was harry

I don't think Nicholas Flamel is the richest wizard First up: it's never confirmed that the stone actually turns ordinary Metall into Gold That's just something that is said about it The only confirmed thing is that it is a key ingredient in the elixir of life, allowing the Flamels to live for a very long time brIf the the Flames bcould/b do it, they'd have done it, which would have tanked at the very least the wizarding economy and brought on a goblin war

I mean, we literally only see four vault through the entire series; Harry's, Nicholas Flamel's, the Weasley's, and Bellatrix's That doesn't mean there were not much larger vaults in the bank, nor that there were not much more valuable items (such as the Philosopher's Stone)brWe also don't know how inheritance laws work in the wizard world; for example, with Bellatrix dead and no hair, did her sister inhe all her money, or was it broken up to other members of the Black family, including Harry as Sirius' heir? I don't think we have enough data do determine who is actually the wealthiest

Even if Beletrix was wealthier than the Malfoys, surely when she died they'd just end up inheriting the wealth anyway or her husband if he survived Narcissa was her closest relative that hasn't been disowned (until Delphi came along) It seems likely to me that Narcissa would probably inherit a good portion of her sister's wealth Nobody knew about Delphi, so it not like she could inherit it Basically, my point is, even if they aren't the wealthiest wizarding family at the beginning of the series, the Malfoy's probably are by the end of it

I think the Malfoys are more wealthy than Belatrix because of property Belatrix always seems to live with the Malfoys and the death eaters and Voldemort stay at the Malfoys and not with Belatrix property is almost the most valuable item anyone has; so take Belatrix’s seeming lack of property would suggest she isn’t as wealthy But hey that’s just my opinion

A very interesting theory however I would point out several arguments against it:br1) While the Lestranges had no opportunity to spend the money, they also had no opportunity to make more of it However the Malfoys could invest and increase their wealthbr2) Bellatrix married into the Lestrange family Since we haven't heard of any other born other than Rudolphus or Rabastan being alive in the time of the books, the head of the family and therefore the main owner of the vault would probably be either Rudolphus or Rabastanbr3) There could be several other possible candidates like eg Harry who had his own money and the Black's money

Hagrid was able to get into harry's vault just by showing the key at the most highly secure bank in the wizarding world even if harry was with him no one had seen him for over a decade no verification was needed just the key and an even more impressive feat getting into the vault containing the philosophers stone with just a letter from dumbledor that was also not verified Not to mention the man can't spell but can do perfect math when it comes to money? almost as if he's calculating large quantities of it regularly he's both humble and loaded especially since he doesn't have to pay to live on the hogwarts grounds he's also able to just get rare and exotic creatures???

Well in my own version of the wzarding world their is a spell that can duplicate money and only that specific spell can duplicate money and their are many versions of that spell and the version that can duplicate money is galleono duplicato so anyone could be rich if they knew that spell BUT the spell can only be cast with one wand five times and each time you cast it it gives you 1 million more galleons so the maximum of galleons you can get out of one wand is 5 million galleons but it doesn't stop casting because the wand it's just because after you cast it five times you have to either relearn the spell with that wand or get another

No Nicholas Flamel? sure he is going to die at some point but that point isnt ever specified - he may well still be alive - we dont know how much of the elixer of life he actually had just an ambiguous "enough to sort out his affairs" No date of death has been revealed when you are almost 700 years old 10 years here or there isn't exactly a long time
