Excellent review I don't know why people don't cover the short eye relief and scope shadow technique as you did here I have a Ta50 as well with better eye relief, and around 25 yards I find it difficult because I do have better eye relief and more sight picture through the Acog I'll be grabbing this optic with the Aurora when primary arms runs another sale on them

I love the Acog but a real one will net upwards of $1500 plus I plan to get one at some point, but right now Im rocking some Budget LPVO's and some primary arms prisms I do have a "Facog" from Amazon and its actually not too bad Thanks for the video!

Tritium has a half life of 12 years I have a trijicon that is pushing 20 years old and the tritium is still usable but much dimmer than when new

Yes, that is what we used when I served with The Corps (Navy Copsman) If they can stand up to Marines, especially in combat, it means they are about as indestructible as an optic can get

I like my Elcan setup I never really did a baseline comparison but I feel the Elcan has a slightly longer eye relief which works perfectly for me Also, the biggest thing is the piggy back rmr placement On the acog, for some reason I would get scope kissed with it My safety glasses would have dents in them but without them I would get hit in the top of the eyebrow So that's the biggest drawback for me choosing the acog I do agree it feels very well constructed though and I don't feel bad picking up the rifle by the acog

I just purchased the ACOG 4x32 LED and topped it with a Aimpoint T2 on the forward top of the ACOG Excellent setup, closed red dot, ultra light I did purchase the new Vortex 1-8 Strike Eagle 1-8 FFP, it was just too heavy

So, this is just me, I love the Vortex 2-7 crossfire ii scope I have it on my AR Its got great eye relief at the 2 setting, its not a huge scope, little smaller than the average 3-9, its got a full warranty, its crystal clear, and just a very easy scope to have fun with

If you're complaining about ACOG eye relief in a 556 package, you need to work on your recoil management skills brbrAll in all, great video man brbrMy personal viewpoint is that if you're gonna run magnification, run magnification I love the fixed 6 SWFA Super Sniper on a 556 brbrI'm running a 1-8 with a 12 o'clock mounted red dot on my general purpose rifle, and the scope is set to between 6 and 7x and almost never changes So going with a LPVO and a dot really limits you on glass quality

I just found the primary arms 2x prism, it has shake awake, great battery life, its extremely tough and has great eye relief I think it's the best optic for a bedside gun and a all around shtf optic I'm even going deer hunting with it, yes I know it's only 2x but it has the acss reticle that can go up to 400 or 500 yards and I'm only using a 223 so I wouldn't want to use it over 150 yards anyway It's only 370 bucks compared to 1000 dollars for the acog Check it out and let me know what you think Great vid and stay safe out there!

While in a dark area looking out to a bright area works just like putting rigging tape on the fiber strip when it's too bright outside the reticle just goes to black and making it really nice for very precise shots on the bright background

Ps you're wrong also on the whole merging thing All Acogs have an etched reticle so it's really # 3 Do you think the military would have bought and empty screen lol Kill the light and radiation and you'll see it's etched Just so you know It tells you that in the manual too Also you do not have to use the concept either , they shoot just fine with one eye closed if you set it up that way You just have to use it one way or the other, it won't work both ways Peace

I like your thinking on the perfect set-up I just got my Acog , due to corvid , the factory , and demand It took 3 years more or less I wanted the Amber Chevron ,which those that know ,know , is the best color and the most expensive and the least manufactured Hence the long wait Even now they are scarce as hen's teeth Optics planet , Amazon , etc ,etc 3-5 month wait Plenty of Red and Green , but not in Amber I still felt horrible about piggy , she looks anorexic since paying for it ,every rib is showing $130000 ta-11 - 35 , best all around Acog 4x sells the most ,but most do not really like it after a few month's The eye distance is so short you are literally taking a chance on being blinded when firing You have to stay up on top of it the 35 is world's apart And lets face it , an acog is meant to get you close , but it's not a sniper rifle by any means It's meant to hit a man size target out to 200 yards Fact And that's all I want I'm set now If it gets bad , batteries will be unavailable , ammo ,food, electricity ,gas , cry now , laugh later Man they cost a fortune Peace

It’s proven that it is the most battle proven optic Obviously not as versatile as an lvpo but with the weight saving it’s acceptable in my opinion and people have this notion they are going to get into 1000 yard fire fights 4 power is easy to shoot with out beyond 500-600 yards but the 223/556 round your shooting with carries like no energy Most people would agree that the 380 is to under powered for self defense but your m855 has less energy at 500 yards than a 380 so an lvpo that only goes to 4 power is just heavier and really offers nothing against this set up and more than 4 power really isn’t that useful for practical application

A 556 with a 145 barrel length or lower with Trijicon 4 power with a 45 degree red dot can get you out to 700 yards which I doubt many people are taken there 556 that far and with a ADM or GDI mount cuts the weight down to 14 ounces and makes the eye relief even better best optic for 556!🤯🔫👍🏽

VCOG is the new ACOG 1x-6x with the BDC You get the best of both worlds (ACOG & RMR) with no downsides other than maybe battery life compared to an electronic ACOG
