Great video I agree with your statement about the financial decisions of the military but I found some issue concerning slaving the Red Dot with the iron sights I have found that accuracy is greatly improved when you 0 the Red Dot independently of the iron sights That's just my opinion but like you said whatever gets the job done

I had a vortex venom and I liked that you could replace the battery on top Battery life sucked and no lock down on the adjustment screws I now have a vortex viper on my glock mos for two years and the battery is still going but I do not leave it on all the time Cowitness sights are perfect too But it sucks that the lock down screws are on the back and unless you drill out two holes in your rear cowitness sight, you have to sight it in, remove it and lock it down again But for the money, the viper wins to me for the price I do want the RMR 2 with the 1 moa dot though

RMR type 2 for me On the FNP-45 and the FN SCAR 17, they just work I have the bigger dot on the pistol and the smaller dot on the rifle They make shooting fast and accurate almost like cheating I heard too many complaints about the other red dots and I only wanted to buy once so I went with the better optic that is more money but you get what you pay for and I hate having problems with stuff I buy Batter life is amazing, always on for 4 years now I like the size, it's smaller and a little smaller on a handgun is nice You can find them for under 500 and sometimes under 400 so shop around and buy the best so it will work when you need it

Trijicon is horribly small and distorted for a pistol Leupold Delta pro and Sig Romeo 1 are very clear with minimal distortion and great for pistols However Vortex viper is close third on clarity to Leupold and Sig but with a lifetime warranty on everything and at a cheaper price is a no brainer6moa dot is great for fast action shooting and turn down to brightness 2-3 can be used for precise work at longer distance
