I've been buying fractional gold bars, primarily 1 gram PAMP and Valcambi, from a particular eBay Live auction The most I have paid for a 1 gram PAMP breakaway is $72 I even managed to get a couple at $59 I steer away from collectibles unless I can get a good price on them My only exceptions are the Perth Lunar New Year coins I really love those coins and they actually appreciate in value Comment from : @fatgandalf9451

It depends on your goals Stacking bullion based on weight is good if you want to pay the least amount possible I would argue collectible pieces have more potential for profit because of metal and limited mintage I rather have a gold proof coin with a mintage of 1500 over a gold eagle especially if they are offered to you at same price Comment from : @brent5354
