I thought stacking a little bit of silver was a good idea but I tried to sell a little too get me through the week and no one wants to buy it and if they do they want in dollars under spot what happens if it hits $50 or more your going to have a coin that nobody wants to pay for it’s kinda pointless at this point 🤔

I gotta be honest I would buy more silver but the premium over spot is ridiculous with the supposed extra coins out there Based on all these coin shops complaining about everyone selling silver and no one buying, maybe its time to go through and drop your premiums Sorry i ain't buying this whole abundance of silver because the market when you buy it is not speaking to an abundance of silver due to high premiums still

silver rounds are worth just as much as the silver eagle or silver krugerrand right? I stack silver rounds but my dad refuses, he is only silver eagle all the way I only buy as close to spot price as possible, I don't see the point in all that highly graded stuff Every once in a while I might buy something fancy from the US Mint website like those armed forces 1 oz medals, I really liked the navy and coast guard and marine ones But those were close to 100 dollars the silver rounds at Bullion Exchange is pretty close to spot price

Physical metal people usually make fun of paper metal or any other investment products calling them fraud fake I’m talking about not physical gold or silver but I have to tell you after 57 years of my life what I’m seeing currently when the silver is $20 they’re charging nine dollars premium when the silver is $30 they’re buying below 15 that means the soulmate $10 more and you’re still losing That’s a crime This will never happen in a paper market

I truly believe we better buy what we can, while we can regarding PM's The day is coming sooner than later when we can't sell because the LCS doesn't have that kind of cash or he is inundated with sellers Or we can't buy because there is no retail available because it all went to the refiners, bullion and central banks or it's too expensive for us poe folk to afford The day of the local LCS is coming to an end, unless he has large amounts of capital I don't understand why banks don't sell US Mint stuff, I think they use to I see online dealers, banks and the mint as the only place to get metals in the near future, if at all

A lot of our local brick and mortar jewelers that just started buying in November, have banks funding their metals buying It's probably for a group of banks buying metals Inflation is still up For inflation to go down we need a cycle of disinflation, and and deflation to level off That means we have 5 to 7 years stilloc rough times People are selling to pay bills, and banks are building security against the dollar

Found a new LCS yesterday Got a 1929 $250 gold indian for $15 over melt Its raw but it looks good I had already spent my budget for next two weeks but I couldn't pass it up He had a bunch of secondary market rounds for about $150 over spot including some he produced himself I didn't get any of those since I was way over my budget but I'll be going back next month

Why wouldn't coin shops A) have line of credit with bank? B) No fear of market moving against you protection by simply selling those evil contracts on ice or comex Guarantees profit based on margin between buy and sell Answer is most stores/shops do not know how to hedge and most are old school hold hold hold I always did and never ran out of money!

This is why I like investing in the SLV ETF I don't want to be dependent on the whim of a local dealer or pawn shop Much better off with a large brokerage house and buying and selling at straight up market price No low balling because of milk spots or some other perceived fault and no Chinese fakes to have to worry about

Interesting video From my own experience while I rarely sell my silver stack, I have a few times Each time it was to a dealer I've bought from before so they kind of knew me When I sold some sovereign coins to them, all they did was look at the coins, they saw one troy ounce and 999 and considered them real I was paid for them None were ever weighed or tested while I was there Maybe they tested them after I left but maybe not I had bought them from the big online dealers but you still never know if some weren't fakes

Once i bought 72 oz of silver from a dealer i had used for years I had expected to be buying constitutional silver but, after i arrived he only had these Trade silver rounds i had never seen before I regretted the purchase soon after i got home and tried to find them online and couldn't I waited until the price surpassed my investment by 500 ea And took them back I managed to make a profit but to this day i still think he bamboozled me His neice was working the day i took them back and because i had purchased them from that shop she didn't test them Be careful always

People are going to have to start using silver AS money, not converting it in to fiat Once this occurs, the LCS’s function will change Only a healthy parallel economy such as this will get the people out from under the tyranny of fiat This will also be good for the value of silver, because more and more people will be using it daily, and the coin shops won’t be able to “low ball” silver sellers People won’t need to “sell”, instead they’ll use their silver to buy…whatever they need or want

That initial comment is pretty dumb, I really don’t know how to process itbrbrEvery stacker should know a few cheap and easy tricks to test their coins It’s basically impossible for a fake to replicate the ping/resonance test while also having the proper dimensions and weight A cheap digital calipers and scale along with a ping tester is all you really need A cheap neodymium magnet (or even better, a magnet slide) to round it out makes it essentially foolproof And a ping tester alone will root out the vast majority of fakes brbrLike what if you want to buy something from a fellow stacker and there’s no shop nearby with a Sigma or XRF machine? What if the economy craters and you have to actually use it for a transaction?(obviously that’s very unlikely but still Hell, even pawn shops sometimes miss fakes coming across their desks Your goal as a stacker should involve being as self sufficient as possiblebrbrMany people stack metals to prepare for unlikely eventualities, and you should know any ways you can protect yourself And these simple, inexpensive tests are one of the easiest ways to do so

I have around 10-20 oz of platinum and palladium Palladium has been such an immensely expensive metal It’s dumped so hard that it seems like the best buy to me Gold and silver are mostly just pretty metals for jewelry I’ll buy it all I’d like to start buying gems and orphans too As long you can afford to be patient All these commodities will have to pump on occasion
