ok its 1 1/2 sizes bigger to get the size you wantso a size 12 would start out at 13 1/2 state quarters are just 1 size upIF i want to get the fat tire look what's the magic number before using that 15 degree reduction die? ps all ur videos rock im one workbence away from having all i need i went with an inexpensive china made blue ring stretcher i hope it holds on enough so i can get a better one

@skyler- if I plan on making a size 11 band how can I make it thick (width) like the 1973 band in your video at 20:20? I believe you used a 1/2" in the video, would you go with a smaller punch and die to achieve this?

Thanks for these great videos Skyler I used your videos to make a few dozen clad quarter rings Have made my share of mistakes Split some by either not annealing enough, working too fast on the stretcher, or not filing enough, etc, but have learned a lot and can make nice looking clad state quarters now I have bought some 90 silver state quarters from ebay and want to start making those now Other than not getting the quarter as hot during annealing, are there any other major things to consider when working with 90 silver quarters? I'm sure I'll make mistakes on those as well, but would like to at least avoid the "no brainers"the clad mistakes cost me a quartera mistake with the 90 silver will cost me about $5 each :-) Thanks for any advice

Thx Skyler I did look and they are a lil bit pricey My blue ring sizer broke yesterday so i had to order one rite away there made of cast iron at the base of the ring strecher base and it broke into several pieces oh well i will use it to press with i also have a six ton a fram and i have started to buy Jason's die's aswell, just got the first one yesterday so between them and the sizer fron the old broken one i should be back to work here in a few days i sold around 400 bucks in rings yesterday while at the post office i was mailin one out and i always carriy my display cases with me and ppl started lookin and trin them on b4 you know it ppl were buyin and also at the local gas station it's crazy ppl love these things i made a whole display of just state quarters and the other display case are just random silver and other rings ppl love the state quarters lookin for the yr they were married baby was bord or just special dates Thx again for all you do for us special thx to Jason for the fast serviceon the die, Adam and all the other great ppl out there thx again Skyler and RING ON my friend

Hello Skyler, just a fast ? I have the blue strecher/ reducer you have, broke the cheap handle and have added a steel plate and welded it to make it strongier, but even when i anneal the coin i can't get the round over or able to size it, I do strech it so theres no cone look but i would like to be able to size it down, again i aneal it many times but not able to get a round over or proper size Any help you can give me would be great if you have time thx Michael
