I'm interested in the CMT handguard I wish more companies would offer a handguard without the full length picatinny rail

Man, there are so many great handguards out there now The one that surprised me the most was the STNGR brand Great price, very secure and extremely ridged feel I use it on my 137" NV setup with the Arisaka IR 600 and PERST-4 I'm about to try out a 2A Armsto see how it does as i don't have one yet I was disappointed by the Aero S series as it really felt like it had some flex in it, which detoured me from trying the R series Of course the URX, Troy, are oldy but goldies, and if you really want a porterhouse of a HG, the Rock River ARMS Elite Operator II 50/50 can bring your 7lb AR up to 11lb in a matter of minutes But, if its a stationary rifle, man does it stay on the ground

Just a heads up, if the handguard pinches together on the bottom make sure the rail is flat all the way across the top after you're done If the handguard has a short barrel nut it's even worse so keep an eye on it

While in the Infantry we had basic handguards and the handguards never failed But I get the fact these days we want customized weapons to show off But those carbines of earlier days will kill just as well as those pretty ones of today I would hope those on budget restraints would feed their children before spending 200 dollars for a hand guard And if you have the means by all means go for it! But to read comments on this site being critical of others who elect not to spend top dollar for a hand guard is quiet ridiculous I would imagine most do the best they can with what they have Long to short as American's we should rally behind anyone who loves weapons and to exercise our 2 Amendment Right's and be each others best comrades in Arms, especially when we are in the fight of our lives with Democrats calling into question the citizen's right to bear arms! Love the video!

Those handguards are way over priced! You can get any of them for under $60 Why spend more on a name brand China brands are just as good And probably those handguards you have are made in China!!

Be careful about losing a finger in the cut outs on the fortis I’ve got a stngr handguard, that is a heck of a lot like a fortis, and I’ve got to be quite careful to avoid my finger touching a hot barrel

I have several and one that I recommend is the 15" M-LOK UTG pro Good price and is very solid for mounting a Dbal-D2 or other lights or lasers Something that I always look for is a longer steel barrel nut so the handguard won't flex out near the tip If your handguard will move around a laser can't stay zeroed With a good handguard the barrel will be the one that is moving around

I have the CMT UHPR 137" Mod1 rail on a pistol build I did and it rocks Nice design, light weight and it hasn't come loose I picked mine up from Primary Arms when they had them on sale I don't think you could go wrong with any of the rails in the video
