i play only on my bedroom at small ish volume values Currently I have a Fender Mustang 150W which is too much I wanted to trade it with a smaller (however premium quality), and possibly second hand tube amp Which one would be the most suitable for me? Don't claim you have squat to do with anything blues, while out of the other side of your mouth you are lauding those foul sounding transistor amps Dude you are a tone-deaf SOB!!! Comment from : @privateprivate4378 |

I own the White Mooer Hornet 15 watt model First thing I did was replace the speaker with a Jensen 8" guitar loudspeaker Made a huge difference Past that, this guy costs me $12936 TOTAL from Thomann in March of 2021 Small, light, portable and loud as all get out I use it for both acoustic and electric playing The Mesa Boogie is my favorite model to use Cool retro look to it as well Comment from : @thepirate5955 |

After looking at far too many reviews, trying far too many amps, losing far too much money along the way, something clicked in my brain and presto, I’ve entered Jazz sound Walhalla I just connect the earphone output of my Fender Mustang Micro to a Sangean U4 (a fairly simple ‘builders’ radio) and that’s it The versatility of the little Fender (amp modelling, effects) gives me plenty to experiment with and the (brilliant!) Sangean has totally acceptable sound for home use (not forgetting FM, DAB, blue tooth connectivity etc) And if necessary it all works on batteries if you want And I’m fine without all the overhyped app-tweeking So I’m not falling for the commercial traps set by amp manufacturers again brMaybe I’ll change my mind when I start gigging, but that’s a highly unlikely scenariobrbrWould love to see someone showing this solution on youtube Comment from : @HaErBeSo |

About PG Spark ampsbrYou don' need DLC's to play So far the only DLC i've seen was Jimi Hendrix stuff, and it's completely optional It just adds a handful of amp models, plus some pedals, plus mb some jam tracksbrThere's plenty stuff to chose from even without this DLC The choice is not as overwhelming as for multiprocessor units, but there's basically a couple of everythingbrThe amp works as a plain bluetooth speaker, so you can use any backing tracks or drum loops, even without the applicationbrAnd there are 4 presets that can be programmed and stored in the amp itselfbrSo you can use application for the initial setup and never touch it again, if that's what you wantbrThe things i don't particularly like in my spark mini: latency for audio interface feature (it works for recording, but it's not as fast as a dedicated interface, so no real-time playing through PC), android application sometimes bugs out, headphone output volume is kind of low for backing track Comment from : @namesurname5409 |

The VOX 15R is like the Fender Frontman 25R You cant find them and they are the holly Grail practice SS amps witch you could run on small gigs Just pure solid state reliable sound I've been looking for them for a long time Cant find one Comment from : @hugofioliveira |

Hi Shane I just found you today, a review of the Artist TweedTone20R I like the tone of that better than any of these Did you exclude it because it does not have any output jacks? I was going to buy one of these today until I realized that I use Logic Pro X for recording I am thinking that the Yamaha amp would work very well Thanks for your good work Comment from : @GlennHallLivingWater |

I have a THR 30, I put it through a Focusrite interface/two Adams ax7 monitors Huge range of sounds and features and the USB computer "thing" it comes with is monster I also have a Harley Benton 12" 15 watt all tube jobbie Very cheap, very, very good from clean pop, smoky sweet to bite, Keef chuntering, early tweed sounds and loves pedals to bits No trace of modelling or plugin tizz - beautiful for home recording, a real doddle dialling it in Even on the 1 watt setting, it's plenty loud Somehow, it's got a "gut moving something" that the THR doesn't "get" and picks up my vos Gibson es 335, straight in and clean likewow, that's such a good, good sound Another voice in there, almost like a twelve string or a distant echo coming back in another range but - indescribable Comment from : @socialmeaslesinpartnership1252 |
You know what I like about your reviews is you playing now it may not be for me but - you get some great tones _ I would love to own everything reviewed but I don't have the spacebrBut I am getting a Couple of Artist Guitars for Fun Comment from : @muiravenue7182 |

Nux Mighty Lite BT MKII is the best I've played for its size/price Comment from : @davidfisher5022 |
Great video! brIs there a big difference in sound quality in the built in speakers of the Joyo, Nux and Yamaha?brIf so, which do you think sounds the best? Comment from : @Bjarnizen |
For some reason, Marshall combos, especially these little ones, always just look really cheap to be The brushed brass doesn’t work on top as opposed to at the bottom of the head and the black corners and sides don’t look quality I like when companies put as much into aesthetics as they do the amp There used to be a blonde with oxblood grill-cloth version of the Super Champ tht I thought just looked smashing Comment from : @sesa2984 |
If you can, isolate your mic from the table Its kindof hurting my ears when it bangs down Comment from : @sesa2984 |
Wish they would bring back the VOX Pathfinder 15R Comment from : @TheMichaelseymour |

m a beginner and see that several videos show a mic in front of ther amp being demoedwhy is that ? Comment from : @edmackey570 |
Some of these are so cool!brbrDon’t really need one (now), but the categories are kind of kind of mixed up Like, the ones that need a cab…brbrWould you really consider that a practice amp? A lot of guys use those with the cab mic’d for actually gigging Comment from : @Ira88881 |
I don’t think I trust this guy anymore He more or less panned the VOX AC15C1 which is an epic amp Comment from : @kennethm380 |
Personally I'm between deciding on getting either the NUX Mighty BT Lite MKII or the NUX Mighty 8BT MKII I'm thinking maybe bigger speaker equals fuller tones But the BT Lite sounds good at least in video demos Does the 8BT that you reviewed in another video - is it worth the extra 50 more? I do like the BT Lite as well Comment from : @SteveMavronis |
Ok but why does this guy only review left-handed amps Comment from : @MaxwellDog1 |
can you recommend an wire less guitar system? Comment from : @Black-Jack-2022 |

Hi Shawn and thanks for that! Yes this whole range is absolutely confusing, so I will concentrate on a special segment: The halfwatter tube amps First, thanks for reviewing the Hageramp This thing got me While checking it out I stambled over the Kowalski Dark Gene 0,5W tube amp Same approach, as far as I can tell But the second gain knob works as a Master Volume! There are two versionsbrI would live to see you reviewing this amp (If you have the chance to) and compare it to the Hagerman I need one of this living in a flat and liking pedals so much!!!brI send you the Best wishes to the other end of the world! Comment from : @stugi2010 |
Hello I'm not sure if you've come across many harmonica players, but as we tend to use guitar amps for playing amplified, would you recommend any of these amps to try out?brbrThanks Comment from : @deecee9696 |
Thanks for this video! Curious if you could share your thoughts on why the Boss Katana is not on this list? Comment from : @Joshuaalan21 |

I love the vid, but in the joyo it seems like not having Reverb is a HUGE setback for a tiny amp Comment from : @Brkprsn |
I was hoping you play an acoustic guitar so one can hear the clean sound of each amp Comment from : @bobhinley5410 |
Hi, nice video, first time here, just a comment: your table makes the mic go boom when you touch it, it's probably in contact with the mic stand Cheers Comment from : @TheRealHucasys |
Try out a Fender Bassbreaker 007 some time Awesome tones! Comment from : @richdonn |
Great video Shane! After buying an Artist TC59 guitar on the basis of your review I would always trust your opinion However, I'm not in the market for a new practice amp at the moment, mainly because I have three already - a Roland Microcube GX, a Kustom KGA10 and a Kustom Dart 10FX Happy with all of them, but I would never part with the Kustom amps because I think they are so good! If anyone sees one going cheap s/h buy it - you won't be disappointed! Comment from : @2002ChrisK |
Hey Shane How come you didn’t mention the Nux mighty air?I thought that should be on the list Comment from : @Subilon |
Another SS that does not get the love it deserves for a doom rig is the Laney linebacker Same push/pull function as the AOR and absolute fire as a foundational doom rig! Run mine in stereo with an orange CR120 through an orange 412HP8brCan vouch for Hilbish as well and run a PB-10 paired with a crown 🔥 Comment from : @Doomrigs |
Any reason you haven't included the Nux Mighty8 Mkii ? Comment from : @tzmathew |
I recently picked up the NUX Mighty Space I like it but I don't love it I appreciate its lower price point, inclusion of a wireless transmitter, footswitch, looper and drum machine, but it seems limiting in the amount of useful tones you can achieve and the wireless system isn't very stable for me (drop outs, interference, poor battery life) brbrI plan on trying a Yamaha THR30 next, just wish they weren't so expensive and were courteous enough to include the wireless transmitter Lack of a looper, drum machine and footswitch is also a let down but I can work around those things if the tone is better than the NUX Comment from : @SentinelGames |
Just pick the amp you like the sound of - which is by far the most important thing - and use an attenuator if needed Job done ;) Comment from : @paulmapp8306 |
Why dont you like the tremlord 30 ?? I think its amazing !! I love it ❤❤ Comment from : @firebirdgao |
Yay, Shane! I picked up a Vox 15R about 5 years ago at a used music shop for $90 and quickly realized it’s worth way more than that Glad you agree 👍 Sorry you don’t have one, but you should :D Comment from : @brysimm404 |
Mooer Little Monster BM I have been using it for 10 years Comment from : @morais99 |

Sadly I bought Marshall DSL 5 before they put in the reverb 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻 That said it’s fantastic and of course it’s great with pedals so no biggie Comment from : @aandrewhussey6403 |
I'm surprised the Fender Vibro Champ Reverb didn’t make the list shane, did you ever get yours back after it died? Comment from : @Terry4345 |
Great video!!! I have a Roland Cube 40XL that I've been super happy with for a bunch of years With the Power Squeezer I think it drops it down to 5 watts A bunch of amp sims, delay, reverb (a bit too polite for me, but whatever), the regular modulation effects, a "solo" function (a rudimentary personal preset), a looper, and some other stuff I never use You can pick these up used for super cheap Comment from : @scottmacdonald1826 |
I bought a nux mighty 8 and it sounds terrible Comment from : @capitanvonchickenpants8492 |
Vox AC4TV ftw 🙌 Comment from : @petewitt2867 |
Orange on the thumb, not mentioned in the video, either small Crush up to 35RT - will give all other combos run for their money Comment from : @mikemayorov2195 |
What is a good wireless system that is cheap 👍 Comment from : @Vern859 |
15:20 I have a Vox15R and I use it regularly to jam with friends I’ve done the LED mod (physically clipping LEDs inside) It sounds phenomenal and warm I like my Klon clone in front for fun brbrI find the reverb on it is subtle and decent at best Cheers Comment from : @bdelaney101 |
I have two Mooer Hornets (blue and pink), love em, they are my bedroom rigs Love em! Comment from : @frabbadon |
