There’s only so much space for air in the cabinet the speaker in not drawing a vacuum, so open or closed cab doesn’t matter,except for less dust accumulation or heat transfer That’s my opinion

i own 2 of these the vox n fender n the fender sounds a tiny bit better with ODHigh Gain Metal, but the vox outshines in in every other category espcially considering you can use the gain for the clean channel, and paired with a TS9 its amazing (but i do like the fender cause it has a Aux in so what i do is hook up a fender mustang micro (essentially using that as a amp and the frontman as a cabinet !) but the katana sounds amazing and ive heard very good things but it is 7 watts and alot smaller so it might have that "cheap" sound when cranked really high with gain) the mini n the black star sounded alot like my marshall Ms-2 micro stack n thats a 1 watt lol ofcourse not as bad they sound 10x better but i get that micro amp sound that i dont entillerly get with the katana (if u like orange on a budget i would reccomend the 12 its only a few bucks more n is a proper amp and it has eq for bass treble mids gain and a OD knob!)

The Vox is a great all-around practice amp, it's only weakness is when you go heavy on the distortionbrHowever the schematic has been traced, and the distortion circuit uses two red LEDs, that you can either remove to use op-amp rail clipping instead, or swap them out with some other kind of diode like silicon or germanium, to customize the distortion to your likingbrIt's a great modding platform and takes pedals well

Are all of the wireless amps powered by batteries or are they chargeable?
