Blues Jr, harmony 5150, jc120 are all poorly built You can fix the issues with the blues Jr if you move some stuff off the board and lower the bias

I would say Fender Blues Junior and Fender Pro Junior are the best of the best tube amplifiers out there, under $1k of course They are both very simple but versatile amps, they're pedals-friendly and can get very loud as well😊

Blackstar Club 40 is $99999 and sounds absolutely killer with all the modern features you want They have boutique 10 w amps in their TV line that are great if you are looking for a classic Fender or Marshall sound for under $1000 For "chuggies" as he put it just get a Peavey Bandit 112 It's I think $700 and is such an underrated solid state option

All decent choices I lean towards higher-end Modeling amps Like Fender GTX100, or Vox VT40X Plenty of tones, plenty of features, and all for $400 - 500 USDbrbrPrincetons are great if you can find one used Older Blues Jrs are nice And while the GTX100 doesn't emulate them EXACTLY, they can get pretty darn close and for most of us? That will be well beyond good enough

Used Mesa Express 5:25 or 5:50 with the graphic EQ, or sometimes a used Mesa Mark V-25 if you get lucky, esp in this market If you already have a cab, a used Peavey JSX Satriani - those were epic and I've seen the heads under $1,000brbrAgree on the Princeton, not on the Blues Jr - they flub too easy

For a fantastic clean tube amp, everybody passes on the Boogie S O B Can easily be under $1000 and is at least 60 tube watts Once you BOOGIE right you can never go back !
