Georgia Power took 9 days to get power back to us after Helene, and we weren't the last to be connected If the Canada tariffs go through, gas and oil products are about to skyrocket I think solar may be worth it for peace of mind in a disaster Plus, not having to toss food and replace it saves money

Nice system I'm just getting some proposals to compare with I just canceled Trinity and Sunnova they only want you to go PPA or loan The total cash price was higher than the competitors and it was verbal Also they push the Tesla's inverters which are not favorable among installers Jon@mysolarhome got me a better deal (20) rec panels 10,562 kw and Enphase IQ8M inverters 30 year warranty part,labor, roof penetration and maintenance $25956 before incentives The company is Powur from California I live in NJ

Sunrun installed a defective roof on my house with undocumented workers As it turned out there was extensive damage all over the roof Two years later my roof is still damaged and leaking, and Sunrun refuses to repair it I'm out $7800 Find some other company than Sunrun for sure Do your homework and investigate online before deciding to pick a company

Solar is never worth it He doesnt tell you about the much higher HO ins, devaluing the house value, damage to the roof, degradation of the panels and batteries Mold and water leaks And having to sell the house with loans still attached Great value Shrinking govt incentives, fees charged by the electric company etc

The thing you didn't mention in your video is that financing through a solar provider adds additional deal fees to your total cost It's much cheaper to find your own loan either barrowing against retirement plans, an insurance policy, or a HELOC That way, you pay cash price for the equipment and install, saving yourself another $10k I'm currently in the process of securing the financing myself because the total cost when financing through a solar vendor is ridiculous and greatly diminishes the value of it Also, insuring that you get good panels, they can last 40 years and still continue making you money long after you pay off the loan By the way, it's "Would have paid" not "Would of paid" if you want to be taken seriously

Solar works well in most of Central to Northern Australia because our continent get Sun all year around 😮😮 Actually speaking in some Areas of the Nation it gets to 40 Degrees Celcius so you save more running a Aircon

Prices for solar in the USA are crazy high Obviously Solar companies take advantage of the fact that you get rebates/credits from the feds and state governments and increase their rates accordingly brbrWe had a 53Kw Solar system installed with a 5kw Inverter, all local permits, taxes and inspections with a cost of $US7,800 No incentives in New Zealand Payback was just over 5 years One of the better investments we ever made

You made the worst deal of your life That $66,287 is equal to 38 years of powering your house The debt is yours even when you sell your house and move into another you must pay every payment provided you don’t pay a fortune to have the panels moved with you And if let’s say you move after 10 years your system will be obsolete maybe even damaged by the elements No matter what the salesman told you, you won’t be able to price your house a great deal higher over homes without solar, you might recoup 10-20 of what you spent at most Almost no one stays in a house for 25 years, given your age I doubt you’ll stay in it more than 10 years

No of course it isn't worth itbrYou had to invest thousands of dollars up front just to break even years later It was a terrible investment brbrIt also is not environmentally friendly There was already a fully operational power grid, building your own mini one that is much less efficient is just extra strain on resources It's bad for the environmentbrbrIt does offer portability if you were in an isolated situation, but other than that it is probably the least efficient form of power
