I want a system that pulls power from the grid when need be without ever sending power to the grid, lets you attach microinverters and/or a generator to it, and recharges batteries which only kick in during a power outage or if you decide to switch off the grid

What has changed is power companies have paid off Politicians to change the law to allow them to screw more people now I for one have completely done away with my states power company I always just despised the idea that I am completely dependent on a monopoly and dishonest electric company! I have 60 solar panels with a backup built in home generator Recently, I installed a whole home battery system to assure my independence from greedy bastards!

BATTERY STORAGE COST will add on average another $25K to your solar installation cost This means instead of getting your money back you paid in 7 years It will take 20 years A total ripoff Especially when you have to replace the batteries every 10 years (another $25k)

Based on siimple accounting and estimated life of solar installation it will literally not save you anthing, in most cases it will cost you more unless utilities kick back money

Are you able to explain tax credits? I had my solar for two years already and I noticed I had to do the credits for taxes every year I initially thought you get the tax credit full for the first year My solar company seems too busy to explain lol

Solar panels save me money because my neighbors without solar panels subsidize my system If you claim that isn’t true, simply price out a solar system that would allow you to go off-grid and have the same electric reliability and availability as you have now with the grid Now, compare the fully burdened annual cost of your off-grid system to your annual cost to buy electricity from the grid Unless your off-grid system costs less than buying power from the electric company, you are being subsidized by the grid

Would love a video about current battery tech and cost…compared to the tech/cost that’s on the horizon Not to discourage folks from buying a battery now, but hopefully as utilities keep heading the wrong direction, batteries will keep getting better and cheaper
