I got fired from my job of ten years along with three others over trivial policy violations that were impossible not to commit and do our job effectively There were so many rules that no single employee wasn't in violation of something If they want you gone they'll get you gone Unfortunately I'm not a bootlicker and didn't ass kiss the new management staff that came in a short while before they sacked me I had seen the writing on the wall for a while and started learning new skills and had a side hustle already when it happened I should really thank them for liberating me from the horrible shit I had to endure from that place(death threats/legal threats/constant verbal abuse from customers) I probably wouldn't have left otherwise "Love the hand fate deals you and play it as your own"

All this And teach English online folks It takes nothing All you have to be is a native speaker most of the time and get some cheap TEFL cert for $40 off of Groupon You make your own hours I teach for 5 hours for only 4 days a week I set my own price And pick up stuff at thrift stores and sell on Etsy or Facebook Marketplace For example, I found a flute at a thrift store for $20 and sold it on Etsy for $120 Come on now the money is out there

First off great content my brother is always, I literally have a neighbor who owns a full-size pickup truck, and all he does is go out every day 7 days a week and collect scraps a lot of scraps And literally that is all he does, when the weather's bad he doesn't go cuz he doesn't have to, but again he really puts in the effort he usually works at least 6 to 7 days a week, and the cool part some weeks he don't go he gives himself a vacation when he feels he needs it Peace and Love

I think some of this has merit but there is no way I can survive here without working at something full-time I live in a small town and even here to live in a crack-den apartment, single bedroom is now officially as of last month, $2000/month plus utilities (It used to be $600 a few years ago) Fortunately, I have a home after separation, with a lower mortgage But even factoring in lower mortgage than renting, cutting costs, budget, watching utilities, food, car gas, (( I minimise driving) and budgeted cost of living (I meal plan, only pay in cash, budget house spending, entertainment, eat out once every couple months), I need to work to make enough I exercise at home to avoid gym membership And this does not include anything frivolous purchases on unneeded, or any saving for retirement and future healthcare, etc I budget everything and do some reselling on the side It is still hard if you want a reasonable normal life My biggest spending cost is fresh, healthy foods which wasn't a big problem until about 3 years ago
