What if a person just quit at 60 to retire? But the retirement age is 64? I suffered from a severe depression, a stage 4 cancer because of the micromanagers, a lack of recognition for 10 years, unreasonable workload n a super toxic work place Can I just quit ? At what age can one retire ? Do I worked till I dropped dead?

Everyone is different to you it may be hard but for others its easy I lived in Africa for a year and the first 5 months with no electricity and you know what?I LOVED IT! Some couldn't do it but it was easy for me Follow your heart not other people's experiences 🙏

I left my job because I'm not built for a 9-5pm I agree that its easy moneywise because you have paychecks and benefits BUT I realize that no amount of money or benefit can compensate for the misery if you dont like your job In my case, I knew I didnt like what I was doing and sooner or later I'd get sick because of the stress of work Being employed, work took over my life Right now, its been 2 years, I dont feel regret leaving the workforce There's uncertainty but its not stressing me out unlike when I was employed and I just take one day at a time

I just gave in two weeks notice for my job, I've got 10k saved but I will admit I'm a little scared of not having a reliable stable income, I worked this current job the past 11 months, but I'm glad I quit, as the travel time and the job itself was not something I enjoyed at all, now I'm stepping into the unknown, it's exciting and terrifying all at the same time 😂

As a successful bar and restaurant owner- who survived Covid- you will NEVER work harder in your life You are correct Uncertainty in being an entrepreneur and business owner is a constant presence in your life It also consumes you You are never “off” On a bad month you are the first one who does not get paid You may or may not be able to afford health insurance However, it’s mine It success and therefore my success are intrinsically linked I could never go back to corporate I quit a 6 figure job to make nothing for two years before the business became profitable So my advise Be prepared for that If you have a spouse or partner that can pick up the financial slack or you can make huge changes in your financial profile that is a plus If you think you will start a business and just sit back and the money rolls in— think again
