The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great wwwyoutubecom/post/UgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far) The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows The suspension connection takes up the entire thing So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase

If you are looking for the fastest downhill time, or ride steep, chunky stuff at 20 mph, full-suspension is better For just about EVERY other situation, the hardtail holds its own I still don't understand why there are XC full-suspension bikes, maybe you win a race by 5 seconds but if the same pro used a 21 lb carbon hardtail 100 of the time, I really think they could make up those 5 seconds through experience and familiarity

I picked up my 1st hardtail at the weekend, I went with the Giant Talon 2, mostly for my commutes to and from work which is around 3 miles each way, and I honestly can’t get over how quick it is, on my old baracuda draco it took me around 25 -30 minutes, struggling at most uphill climbs, and on my talon it took me 14 minutes, it is an absolute game changer

Don't cheap out too much with hardtails Because they're so simple there are lots of really bad ones aimed at the weekender who toddles down the Towpath These do the job they're built for but if you want to send it, they won't last Full sus can often avoid this due to the higher cost forcing quality through customer expectations

I just got the Canyon Stoic 4 and its a sweet ride NX eagle drive train, RS Pike fork, Schwalbe tires, and sram 4 piston brakes You wont get that kind of spec on a $2000 full sus When I wear out some of the components i will upgrade to GX or possibly switch to Shimano xt well see how they hold up So far I like the sram stuff its the first time Ive had it on my bike
