Bought this bike and returned it same day It's not good for around town The gear shifting is uncomfortable compared to other mountain bikes With only one front sprocket the bike has poor top speed If your goal is to ride uphill, this bike has great acceleration but other than that, this bike has little to offer if your looking for a bike to get around town Not made to go fast, only good for slow trails

I just started biking , and this is the first bike i went with, only because my dad gifted me it, the bike rides really smooth!!! Im not expert , but i can say this bike does exceptionally well in the city, ive yet to test it on an actual trail but that day will come soon 😅 i love this bike !!!!

I have measured mine several times and I get a head tube angel of 67 when it had the stock fork This frame can also accept up to a 2° angle set Which I’m getting ready to do it’s really a great little frame but I think the 69° number is off Thanks for your review

Lever shifters as called here may be known to others as rapid fire shifters, mainly because pro grade bikes referred to them as this when they were first conceived in the 90's

Hi Kev! I bought this bike since it was the only big box 29er I could find, last one in the store, so far I’ve done a bontrager wheel set, a 7 speed cassette, Fooker pedals, a hydraulic front brake, and grips So far it’s comfortably handled every black diamond trail I’ve thrown at it

you are right about the fork that fork has more flex than a zip tiefirst up grade is going to be that fork and headset is the headset going to be the same size as the the other schwinn fork upgrade you did i believe you said the size 56/40

I got this for Father's Day and I am really enjoying it! I'm 5'7 and the bike feels good Upgrading components and spending time with my 17yr old son is the best part! I came across one at my local Target today The welds look good and the bike has a nice aesthetic I did notice, however, that it was improperly set up The shifting needs to be completely redone Brakes were not right But all that should be easy if one knows a little bit about bikesbrbrIt sure would be nice if it had a cassette

I picked one up and found the bottom tube was not welded to the bottom of the bottom bracket It looks like the weld was omitted for the internal cable routing for the rear brake Not impressed

I got an Axum not long ago and I kind of honestly like the ascension better seeing as though by the time I’m done the only thing that will be left is the frame anyways so the internal routing is a huge win plus it just looks sick but that being said I’m still super happy with my axum

I swear Walmart is giving better deals on mountain bikes like the Schwinn Taff 29 inch rims duel disk brakes the front shock is not the best lol 😂 Other than that the bike is pretty fast I don’t get the front gears ⚙️ By the petals Why is the gear so small there’s only one gear I go through the gears so fast and I’m almost gone all most 50 miles an hour I’m passing everybody with a beaver on my back 🦫 LMFAORN 😂🤣 Everybody’s jealous because I have a beaver on my back 🦫

just want to warn everyone, target doesnt exactly have expert bike builders, the one i got was very poorly put together, lots of loose bolts, rotors were rubbing very bad, handle bards were very loose, chain wasnt lubed, make sure you inspect it thoroughly, can be very dangerous if you do not

As always a great review with all of the pertinent information Your reviews are perfect for these times when it's not always possible to see the bike in person brI think this bike fall short of expectations for the price Internal cable routing isn't something that I drool over, so with that said a Boundary is a better value and with its external cable routing an external routed dropper would fit right in

I simply don't understand why the big box bikes can't put a decent head tube angle so you can upgrade to a better fork At least build the frame so you can put an upgraded fork of 120mm I would trade that for the internal cable routing and other features for a better head tube angle 60mm is simply not a enough travel Might as well put a sold fork on it rather than a crappy 60mm travel junk fork
