I have a Triumph Sprint 1050 I think it is the best looking of the bikes you mentioned It has a triple motor that sings an addictive tune through a two-brothers under seat can It ''only'' weighs 530 lbs which is at least 100 lbs lighter than the rest Comment from : @peterkukay |

Given that the topic is "Touring" bikes how can you ignore fuel economy? would have made it more interesting seeing each brands engine capacity as wellas fuel economy, is that extra engine capacity costing you more fuel for your bike than it's rival does? Which one is going to respect your wallet, and which is going to treat it like a teenager on financial life support? Comment from : @brianholden2724 |

Strange exclusion of the Honda VFR1200FbrI got mine at the equivalent of $5000 and it came with colour and key matched top box and twin panniers, so it's designed for touringbrIt's also shaft drive and 170hp which easily competes with the Concours in power, but the V-4 character makes it a little bit more interesting to ride with a wider torque curve brAgreed that it leans more towards the sport side of sport touring but it can obviously be modded accordingly to make it more touring focused, previous owner had upgraded the bars to be higher up and installed a mechanical cruise control throttle lock, I installed a USB charger and phone mount for when I need long distance GPS Comment from : @calvinlondt3037 |

Will be picking up a 2016 FJR with 12K miles this weekend So looking forward to it I saw it last weekend, got to know the owner and it has all service records and was meticulously taken care of Can't wait Plus, I'll have a 3 hour ride home on the Interstate How sad Currently own a 2022 T9GT The FJR will not be replacing it Yamaha rocksbrbrAlso, you need to mention the Yamaha Tracer 9GT Fantastic bike, very powerful with a flat torque band throughout Comment from : @stephc4427 |

Honda st1300 transmission is much smoother than Yamaha fjr1300 and hayabusa makes very good touring bike very comfortable Comment from : @ammartm1 |

ONLY thing about used FJR's is that the ones I've looked at had seriously bad maintenance brUngreased drive shaft, incorrectly bleed ABS brake fluids, never changes coolant, never changed air filter or spark plugs, no throttle sync ever done, leaky front fork seals Comment from : @arthurfoyt6727 |
2015 Ninja 1000 sx with panniers heated grips, Sargent heated seat double bubble windshield , swap the front and rear sprockets to 16/39 and rear tire to 190/55 pirelli angel GT and done ✅ best sport touring imo 140 hp /73 ft torque 155 mph top speed fun fun and comfy Comment from : @xclent1975 |

I like my triumph sprint 1050 2007 from original owner I have the st not gt much more sport fucused than the gt but it’s big heavy planted in the rain 2 up high speed Interstate it’s not quite as comfy as the gr but I like it and the only thing I would get rid of it for is a 1400 ninja that’s about it but the ninja is way longer so it is what it is it’s yours not mine I paid 3k for it with 30k miles and a set of bar risers Corbin touring seat and the service manual not just owner’s manual the service binder with all records done at a triumph dealer yes he was a sucker but that’s what you want when buying a older bike Comment from : @bpstimemachines2327 |

Concours 14 hands down Comment from : |

I didn't have a ST, but I had the CTX1300 Great engine sound from the pipe, though the water pump noise is kinda annoying (straight cut gear driven) Not sure how the tuning was between the ST and CTX, but compared to the FJR and Connie it felt lethargic The Connie is heavier, and at low speeds, the FJR is more nimble The Connie does have more top end, but the FJR is like a diesel at low RPM in comparison Low RPM on the Connie feels very weak (it does transition to an absolute beast though, though the FJR is no slouch)brbrFor me I am torn between the Connie and FJR, I like the shaft drive and the TPMS sensors on the Connie, but love the low end torque and easier low speed handling on the FJR 6th gear is missed on the early gen FJRs (every other bike I rode before it had 6, so I was constantly trying to go to 6 on my 08 FJR early in my ownership) With the exception of the stupid looking tail light, the Connie is better looking The bags seem bigger on the Connie I also like the instrumentation on the Connie better Both bikes are awesome I miss them both, lol Comment from : @dracdrum |
Lol I have an 04 R1150Rt and have been eying the K1200/1300 Keep thinking about if the extra power is really worth it I can't even use all the power on my 1150rt due to speed limits 😂 Comment from : @deansigman6099 |
As an owner of a 2014 Yamaha FJR1300, I could not agree with you more! I have the 5 speed and don't think a 6 speed is necessary I love the factory electronic cruise control and saddlebags! Also, 300K miles on the engine is not unheard of Regarding the Concours, it was never offered with factory cruise control Comment from : @stanadams8718 |

I have an ST1300 and have ridden the FJR and Concourse, both are great bikes as well I think the FJR is the better sporty bike but the Honda is a work horse, i have 65000 miles on mine and it has not given me problems Im thinking about replacing it with the Kawasaki ninja 1000sx who knows Great vid Comment from : @thomasadkins1668 |

The vfr800 had factory option luggage Love the sound when vtec kicks in! Definitely on the sporty sode of sport touring, but can still do several hundred miles in a day without too much pain Comment from : @Midnight_Rider96 |

A cheap unassuming bike I found is the Suzuki GSF1250S with Givi hard boxes Bullet proof motor and transmission Great on track days Wife and I did several 3 week tours of New Zealand s Sth Island she rode her Givi equipped Suzuki GSX650F Enjoyed your clip thanks Another Sports tourer I had was the XJRs predecessor the oddball GTS 1000 It's handing smooth and no real slouch either Comment from : @paulcosbrook1952 |

Great review Literally every bike I predicted would be on your list was! brI’m also a multi bike owner including the owner of a 06 FJR Totally agree with your points brOne thing I should point out I was once following an 08 edition Concours 14 on a nice stretch of curvy mountain road and that rider was able to whip the big Connie thru some curves like it was on rails And I was aboard my Blackbird 1100 and not riding like an old lady either lol Great review New subscriber here Comment from : @SR71BBFLYER |

Going from a Stratoliner deluxe to a fjr1300 The big twin bagger doesn't quite check enough boxes for me Great review Comment from : @alpine_brine661 |

Bought a used K1600 GT and the killer power, handling and all day mile munching makes it a cut above Maintenance costs are higher because of the valve adjustments and it eats rear tires for breakfast, but it has been dead on reliable - no issues Close 2nd is an FJR 1300 or R1200 RS Comment from : @4940markhutchins |

I've expected FJR and I wasn't dissapointed) Comment from : @crevanizekil |

Ridden an St and and FJR, the FJR is easy to go quick on right out of the box I disagree with the VFR as you can get standard luggage, I've owned an 800 and have a 1200dct Used bikes, which is what the video is about, often come with full luggage and the bikes are designed to take genuine bags The 1200 is epic, ridiculously fast compared the FJR and pretty comfy Extremely sure-footed too, as evidenced by having to ride in thunderstorms in Italy this summer Comment from : @MrBulli69 |
I enjoyed the clip I currently fly and R-14 but prior had a ST-1300 R-14 for me is much better As you mentioned one major difference is the power of the big 1400 Always nice to get that boost when needed That triumph looks very interesting Comment from : @lawrencefisher5256 |

I pretty much agree with your order of preferences brbrI currently own a 2nd gen FJR a Blackbird and a ZRX1200 brLUV the VFR1200 but its limited gas range eliminated it from my sport touring choices brbrI will say I once on a stretch of twisty mountain road saw a rider perform some amazing high speed sweeps and cornering while on a Connie14 Saddle bags and all brbrIll say with the right rider it can be a surprising steed Comment from : @SR71BBFLYER |
Fully agree sport touring bikes can these days be found for crazy low prices Like $2000 for a 20 year old bike in close to mint condition and which can be used for years to come Compare this to a $2000 car than hopefully will survive for the next 12 months without serious and costly repairs Comment from : @SweBeach2023 |

I wish there were more lighter/smaller sport touring bikes, wish I could do a VFR800 (esp that last gen) but I got an FZ6 and it’s pretty solid for touring so far Comment from : @jawadulkarim9498 |

No better ST than the FJR1300! I'm looking at my second, a '15 I had a '16; it was a solid bike, most comfortable ride I'd ever owned and I'd buy another in a heartbeat but you almost can't find '16s used, ergo the decision to buy a '15 Comment from : @leviefrauim1425 |

The Concourspowerful, poorer handling and bad mileage What's not to love? Do enjoy your channel! Comment from : @r12rtpilot |
