I chose a used 1200GS after looking closely at all the premium adventure bikes I enjoy riding country roads in out-of-the-way places and an occasional gravel road The GS meets all my needs and has exceeded my expectations I think everyone should ride what they can afford and makes them happy Comment from : @jude25 |
Super bike factory let you to take a bike for a spin? Because normally they expect people to buy biked from them without riding them, which sounds ridiculous to me Comment from : @fiucik1 |
africa twin ;) Comment from : @tomaswallyveira1161 |

I think you're right on the choice of the KTM but the Ducati sounds the best! Comment from : @dennismurray4999 |
That Ducati exhaust is bold though I've always preferred the restaint of the GS Comment from : @Play_Streams |
That Multistrata sounds MEAN I love it Comment from : @pinkies_up_garage |
The Ducati sounds the best for sure To be honest with a 10k budget your spoiled for choice, just take your time and get a nice one as there’s some rough ones out there…for me I chose a 1200 Tiger with no intention of ever taking it off road unless a gravel car park qualifies 😊 Comment from : @lestersmyth692 |
The Ducati sounds the best Hands down Holy crap Comment from : @killorbytes |
I would pick the Ducati just for the sound it made :P Comment from : @HairyMTB |

Ducati sounds great But Ktm for the win, except Im short so BMW 😎🇲🇽🇨🇦 Comment from : @ianbagwell8758 |
my ktm 1190 adventure was a great bike Best all round bike I did outback touring, sandy tracks, rock gardens, days of endless tarmac, commute in dense traffic and a track day Couldn't think of a better all round bike And it was reliable and easy to service Only problem is it devalued so darn much compared to all the other bikes in the segment Comment from : @Whos-That-Guy |
Ducati sounds the best but I would probably buy the BMW Comment from : @davidalonzi2918 |
Bmw Comment from : @edwardtodd2833 |

I’ll save you all some time and money Buy the GS or GSA Every enthusiast should own and do a long ride on a GSA at least once in their lifetime I can’t say say that about any of the others It’s been great Comment from : @747driver3 |
What about the Yam T7, you can have one brand new for under £10k, and they are brilliant, good on the road, and better than any of these off road Comment from : @pw3591 |
Ducati for exhaust sound and ktm to purchase Comment from : @GarHarman |

If your going to compare like for like you should have got the correct model Multistrada The Enduro is every bit as good as the others Comment from : @whosyerdaddy13 |
Why not the Yamaha tenere 1200 or the Ducati enduro on the list Comment from : @ronnieb31 |
V-Strom all day longfor Africa Twin money ,you can buy a near new V/S and kit it out with a Hessler(HRT) or the French equivalent 21/18" upgrade will outlive the rest of those featuredrally proven(check out the Atlas Rally and the V/S competing) No brainer! Comment from : @williamrae9954 |
Take the 1190 super adventure for like 7-8k and you will be laughing Comment from : @wildracoon6807 |
I bought a 1260 multistrada for less than 10k, but not the S version though Comment from : @LushmanGB |
I don’t know what you did for a job before you became a You Tuber, but I can guarantee you weren’t in the motor tradebrThis is just a paid promotion for the SBF and you are just taking your subscribers as mugs by giving them poor advice Comment from : @ticthedog6095 |
SBF are useless They care more about selling finance than bikes Comment from : @eclipsegfxable |
I'd probably have the GS of the last three but the Multi sounds the best by far I actually prefer how the pre-liquid cooled GS boxers sounded The KTM sounded pretty ordinary unfortunately! Comment from : @Geshmaal |
Not many KTM 1190 R Adventures in UK ? Mines 8 years old on 20000KMnot one single fault since newmy choice! Comment from : @ffs5532 |
Ducati sounds the best Out of that lot I would probably pick the GS Personally I just bought a 2016 Aprilia Caponord Rally 1200, great bike for the engine, the ride, and the style The GS sounds great but I would scared of all the complexity for maintenance and reliability The KTM- I don’t like any of the brands styling and I have always heard about reliability issues as well The Ducati seems like a great bike but For me a little too road focused for my taste I suppose that is why Ducati will start to offer the Desert X which looks gorgeous the only thing I’d be cautious about the is the entry price and availability for a new model Comment from : @Ridingforsanity |
If you judge a bike by the way it sounds, you're doing it wrong 😄 Comment from : @unclebadger597 |
tiger 800 in indonesia prolly cost 50 grand :') Comment from : @sumarianakadek1855 |
The first GS and Multi both clearly have crash or fall damage Comment from : @georgephilippus |
I’d want my adventure bike to have a V4 with shaft drive, only one manufacturer makes one Comment from : @pl1068 |
I would trust the GS @ 20k miles over the KTM @9K miles and 500 quid less Northumberland and Scotland's North Coast 500 for me :) Comment from : @guywolff |
Hi Bob, great review My pick Yamaha Super T 1200 all the way :) Comment from : @jarek916 |
Ducati sounds best,no contest But I’d take either of the other two…probably the GS Comment from : @bootsinthedirt |
Sounds like the Powys gp going on in the background 😂😂👍 Comment from : @fuglyucker6238 |
Ktm adventure hands down have riden bmw and ktm ,ktm covers everything i ride in Australia fyi love your channel👍 Comment from : @JamieBroughton70 |
Great vid love these comparisons … The 10k bracket is what most people can probably get too … new bikes 18k plus are out of reach for most 🤙 Comment from : @kevskibiz |
I Would buy the BMW but the Ducati is by far the better sounding bike if I still lived in the uk this would be a great place to buy my next bikelove these video’s Comment from : @malcolmpatton9314 |
KTM😘 Comment from : @jerryandnancywertzbaugher7778 |
The multistrada sounds the best of the three, but I don't think I'd pick any of them Comment from : @whylie74 |
For sound, it has to be the Ducati, but for practicality, I think the BMW would be the one I would pick Comment from : @merseamoto |
Ducati sounds best Comment from : @brettcunningham7812 |
KTM Comment from : @andyhutch8262 |
Myself I would save a bit longer and buy the new Honda Africa Twin 1100 reliability, maintenace, parts availabilty is the reasoning behind my choice the Ducati sounds great Comment from : @justlucky13 |
I had a KTM as a loaner from Fowlers whilst my Tiger 850 Sport was being serviced recently, it's an awesome bike wins hands down! Comment from : @barryhughes1612 |

Hi Bob, The Duke sounds best to me However, here in remote Central California, I could not easily get it serviced or supported The Beemer would be my choice because reliability is a priority for me and that legendary bike will do everything I need it to Thanks for a nice review! Comment from : @kawabungah20 |
Love the Multistrada sound Comment from : @iwillnotfollow |
The Ducati sounds the best to me but I'd have to buy a Kawasaki Versys Great on-road and will handle a gravel track too Comment from : @SpaceCowboy |
Fun video but None of those exhausts did it for me In their defence though, I have two adventure bikes and I don't think either one sounds fantastic lol Comment from : @YouMotorcycle |
The Ducati sounds the best but for my money - the GS Best! Comment from : @creedm3040 |
Love the sound of the Duke👍 Comment from : @martynlaverick3405 |
WHAT? NO HARLYS? Comment from : @Rezaroth |
The GS wins, it’s the highest selling worldwide adv bike for good reason The Ducati has insane maintenance cost but has the best sound The KTM has had reliability issues and even pre covid parts have always been in short supply Comment from : @Peter-wc4kr |
The sound, look and set up of the Ducati would get my vote……and I say that as a rock solid BMW man including the GS of which I had a 1250 version Comment from : @robertcorbett4720 |
Gotta love the sound of a Duke I have to say that none of those would be my choice, but I guess it all depends on what Adventure you want your bike for The Tiger 800 however absolutely floats my boat Comment from : @neilmackinnon3371 |
🤦🤦 revving them from colda big no, no Comment from : @grenphelps7455 |
