I got pre approved for a fha and conventional loan was at closing credit score good at the last minute they told me I didn't have a line of credit in my name and denied my loan I had car payments I was making and paid it off in 2020 shows current on my credit reports why they didn't use that

I’m not sure if it applies to FHA loans too but mortgage insurance requirements can be met by simply taking out a life insurance policy for the value of the loan and designating the bank as a beneficiary You’ll save money doing it that way

20 years ago, I got a 25 down FHA loan In light of the mortgage insurance being there for the life of the loan, I would DEFINITELY avoid them There were many other stipulations that came to bite me in the hind end with the FHA loan, so even though they look good on the surface, they are trouble later on

FHA is the true subprime for the poor people Californians have a new option 20 down payment assistance from the state of California All you need to worry is the monthly on the 1st home loan (80 LTV with bank/lender) I would give this loan program to my own mother b/c it is the best loan program in the industry in 25 years (the 20 is a silent 2nd home loan with no monthly payment or interest)

Question: I am paying large principal payments and bringing my FHA loan balance down quickly I thought as my balance rapidly decreases that my MIP would also decrease However, my lender told me that nojust because I am bringing the balance down the MIP only decreases once a yearand that the decrease amount is based on the original amortization schedule and the corresponding year that I have had the loan For example, due to my extra principal payments I am technically in year number 20 of my loan which would generate a lower MIP But I have had the loan for 7 years The mortgage company is charging me PMI in the amount of what it would be for year 7 on my amortization schedule Even though looking at my balance I am in year 20 Is this really the law as the mortgage company is stating?
