I'm sorry but FHA ain't a good program FHA contributed to the housing crash just like adjustable mortgages Only people with low incomes, and low credit scores is usually the ones that go for FHA Loans With an FHA you are usually getting an up to date home with a high monthly mortgage Rarely do people own the home in end with FHA loans

I got an FHA loan in 2012 fast forward to today I have plenty of equity in my house and trying to get a HELOC but it seems that a second lien was put on my house when we did our closing for the amount of assistance of the down payment we received from Texas Dpt of Housing community affairs and can’t get a HELOC without paying that off So yea I feel stuck and not knowledgeable on the subject
