I’m gonna also say the Sig M400 tread from sportsmen’s warehouse is the best bang for your buck for under $1000 I bought mine last year for $920 out the door Turners had them as well but they started at $950, sportsmen’s was around $850 I wanted featureless so that I can drop mags faster and threw away the stock fin grip it came with and put a juggernaut grip on it Love my rifle

I bought a Blackforge BF 15 tier 2 M4 carbine In 2012 It has a bullet button I paid just over a $1000 I did a lot of research on AR's before purchasing I learned that most AR parts are all the same manufacturers Most of the cost is fit and finish I bought a NCstar compact 3x9 scope Mostly because my eyesight is terrible We sighted it in at 100 yards at the top of the scope, so as you go longer distance and pull up the center cross hair was at 500 yards It work perfectly from 50 to 500 yards for each Only sighted scope once in 12 years We put some clay pigeons at 500 yards on side of hill And not being the greatest shot we were hitting about 7 out of 10 shots In my opinion the Blackforge is one of the best AR rifle you can get

lwrc ic di is indeed a very good high-end option that you can get in CA I've read some comment and people mention some cheap PSA AR-15 for 500, in reality CA option would cost 650$ with a discount, and it's missing a good stock, missing any muzzle break, which you still need to order and install So it will come close to 1000$ easily So I wouldn't recommend going PSAbrIWI ZION-15 is great for the price, and probably the way to go for many, and it's around 1000$ brI got my lwrc ic di for around 1500$ new from riflegear, and comparing to IWI Zion, it has a better barrel, build quality and full ambi controls, so I'd say it also worth the price One thing that makes lwrc good specifically for CA market is build-in maglock for fixed mag design, it's quite good comparing to other aftermarket-installed CA legal options if you are not going featureless Lwrc trigger is also good (not perfect, but good)brbrSo to sum up, IWI Zion and Lwrc-ic-di are both great options and worth the money IMObrbrAlso you made a great choice by going with eotech holosight and magnifier, I went with 1-8 lpvo and it's eye relief and eyebox is very unforgiving

Id take a BCM over the LWRC for about the same price You can find a full factory BCM for 1399 or even cheaper if you do an Aero Lower Ive always thought the LWRC's are way over gassed Putting a can on a LWRC is not a fun experience Good guns just not my personal favorite

Bought my LWRC in 556 1/7 twist about 2 years ago 2000 rounds mixed ammo and not a single problem with the gun and definite MIL spec accuracy It does love the 77 gr SMK HP but does just fine with 55 gr from a MIL spec standard Bought it as a reliable for the money and not disappointed Trigger is like a glass rod Takes variety of mags no problem Some parts are LWRC unique but can apply MIL spec if needed I just bought extra LWRC parts for under $50 and piece of mind Snake skin factory grips hold tight and no need to change Only real downside is I bought the burnt gold which looks fabulous and turns lots of heads… Don’t need a target on my chest if SHTF but I have a couple of shaker cans to to solve that problem as needed

As far as the accuracy, is it a 556 or 223 Wylde chambering? Depending on the twist rate, you might need to go higher or lower on the bullet weight
