The F in G major is not necessarily out of key, you can look at it as the minor 7 in G mixolydian wich is another G major scale, also used in blues

I always got annoyed with people who would say oh you’re not playing this instrument right or correctly It should be played like this not like that cause in reality any way someone feels comfortable can be the right way Many many famous musicians didn’t play there instrument correctly and some of them are on the list of legends or great musician Jimmy Hendrix comes to mind right off the bat but there are many many that had there own style and made amazing music playing that way
