100 Mike brI move in and out of the system as I please ,I have no trade but have built many house ,inc plumbing and electrical,grow my own food ,kill my own meat ,set up my own solar and water supply ,I was bought up that way and have taught my adult kids to be the same, it starts when they are kids and is a deliberate action

My various shop classes starting in junior high and even in college got me further in life than any other class!brI dropped out of college, because I fell in love with a temporary full time summer job working in a factory The factory work was hard, except for the opportunity I gained in running a Bridgeport mill, doing some basic welding and progressing from there Eventually I signed up to run a CNC mill and a world of opportunity opened up in front of me Eventually I worked my way into a position for several major CNC manufacturing companies, setting up the equipment all over the states and teaching others to operate them Finally, I ended my career as a Senior programmer and a CAD/CAM specialist with a company building orthopedic implants God Blessed me with opportunity and I jumped in learning the skills, self responsibility and ambition needed to be successful It wasn't until I came face to face with a new 35 year old manager that delegated me to the status of a "non degreed dinosaur" that I considered Cancer as a gift horse to take disability and leave my job I really have been blessed and although regret not having a diploma, the places I've been, people I've met and the money I made were awesome!
