Well, my first ride is not in the parking lot It was like a three hour ride yeah that’s what you do man right you just get on it and go you know now I know how to ride a bicycle ride I was good at that, but I never ridden the motorcycle before that day so I was just like the heck with it I’m just gonna ride the thing until I feel like not riding the thingand that turned into like a three hour ride so that worked and I was by myself but it’s all good

Lies, i got my first bike this year, 2001 harley softail custom, lots of weight, lots of cc's and i rode it since late March this year, almost every day, it was also the first bike the owner before me, it's never been dropped!!! It's way big for a beginner bike and not been dropped by 2 beginners, so saying "you will drop it" is bs You only drop your bike if you're doing stupid shit

Bruh, I still have my first jacket It’s 15 years old, been down once in it, mesh, still looks great and works great Albeit the zipper fell off but I had a tailor sew a new one on brbrMy boots lasted about 8 years before something broke; but I was still able to use them for another 7 brbrThe helmet lasted probably 10 years Reality is, your gear lasts a lot longer than this video eludesbrbrEdit: and to the last point, I started riding to not get a car It’s all I had for 5 years But, that said, the circumstances in my life at the time allowed for that So it’s definitely doable, but to your point, not for the majority

I just got my first bike - MT125 and i was honestly shitting myself taking it out because you're right, here in the UK we can take a CBT which allows us to ride up to a 125cc with L plates and they don't teach you everything, just the basic functions of the bike with shifting and manouvers you need to carry out ; along with the safety equipment I think the most worrying thing for me was "I'm scared of dropping my bike because what if i can't pick it up again" and i know it'll happen at some point but i went to a parking lot to spend a couple of hours learning what ticks with my bike All these anxieties i have about riding before i go out all goes away when im actually riding and it's fantastic

I dropped the bike 2x during the MSF course, wasn't nearly as hard as I thought to pick it up! But I definitely learned what i did wrong, and haven't done it since!

When I taught my brother to ride the first thing I did was lay the motorcycle on its side and told him to pick it up He asked, "Why?" I told him, because you're going to put it down and you need to know how to pick it upbrThe first time I went down I was turning a corner at a decent clip I didn't know the darker shade of the asphalt was from trucks hauling asphalt and oiling the road as I leaned into the turn, I felt the rear tire starting to come around and the bike going down I relaxed went down with the bike and pushed away from it A little scuffing and injured pride but no real harm

i have dropped my bike 2 times and im just mad, at the fact that my dads friends drivway is so bad, its muddy dirt (i have a roadbike) but its like 200meters long of squishy mud with tyre marks so you cant move and have to stay in these fucking channels with huge dips and potholes 1st time was a small drop and it loosened the clutch lever but that was an easy fixed, second time it somewhat serpeated the tank so its not broken but its got a little wobble which im too lazy to fix but its not a problem, and its popped out my turning signel, pushed it back in, not broken but ive never hated a driveway, now i do and im NEVER EVER going back, Nah uh

In 15 years of riding, I e dropped a bike maybe 4 times Last year, my Klr was parked with a slight downhill grade I parked the bike running in neutral I put the bike on its stand so I could close the garage But before I got off completely, apparently the bike started rolling downhill, the kickstand gave way, and the bike and I went down
