i just read all your comments, does no one ever use baking soda anymore and, has anyone ever sent one of those in? they show no hairlines no matter how hard you scrub but, i dont know, perhaps its obvious if using a microscope that it has been cleaned lets face it you are not attacking the coins metal, you are attacking the coin's luster

Like Texas state San Antonio Mission 2019 state quarter I have basically flawless but is dirty a bit No circulation marks really Wanted to try just ms70 but afraid of ruining it brbrbrSays products ezest coin cleaner but I see ur using MS70 i have both but have yet to use either Though with my error coins ar dirty some there strike quality is uncirculated Basically MS67 or better I've been considering trying it on one coin and see what happens

On occasion, I'll clean my junk silver Cleaning junk silver won't hurt the value of the coin and makes the coins look so much nicer! I use eZest and a Q-Tip Cleaning valuable coins can be very risky People tell you to never clean a coin Yet, PCGS and NGC will clean your coins for you and NOT mark them cleaned So, what different does it make if we clean our own coins or the grading companies??? Sounds like a "racket' to me

The reason the 1894 got a cleaned designation, was because there's still residue inside the 8 and 9, in the date That's probably the only reason they knew it was cleaned

It's been known for a long time you can dip coins and they will straight gradeit's common sense that a dip is untraceable, you can't say I just think it looks too clean/bright If there is no marks, scratching etc you are good to go with any grading company Just a dip in ez is the best with a rinse and dab dry, no reason to touch em with a qtip or anything, any kind of swirl mark or a few uniform scratches and your getting details

Nice interesting video Sorry I didn't catch when released I myself have found MS70 to be best for "restoring" I have found the eZest to be too harsh, especially on any coins (no copper) that had any kind of wear/circulation Just seemed it took luster off MS70 was great on really nice or proof or cameo coins Thx for the confirmation

Recently i had 10 Gold $20 that were in holders from the '80s (PCGS and NGC) I took note of the grades, broke them out of the holders, and sent them in to PCGS On return, 2 upgraded by 2 points, 2 upgraded by 1 point, 2 downgraded by 1 point, and 4 were unchanged I suppose standards have changed since the '80s🤔
