If you are expecting a Maple Leaf-quality offering at a lower premium, you may be disappointed The quality is rubbish, with beat-up edges I've examined my 2 tubes of 2022 1 oz examples, but don't know if they were OK in prior years Also they appear defaced, with hideous scratches that look like they were done with a nail, on the Queen's cheek It's possible this henscratch mess is an artist's initials, or perhaps an anti-counterfeiting gimmick, but why do it on her face? But they are so cheap compared with the alternatives, and they are impossible to counterfeit profitably, and they do contain an ounce of silver, and my state doesn't charge sales tax on them -- so I'll keep buying them Maybe next year they can hire somebody for quality control Comment from : marusholilac |
Watching this in 2022 and Britannias are great value at the moment Easy to find and affordable Let’s see what 2025 brings See you in the future Comment from : SwitchMultiMedia |

I purchased 1 oz Britannia in March 2022 for just under $5 over spot Essentially the same as rounds Smoking deal in my book, given the security and fact that it is a beautiful sovereign coin Comment from : Auntie Fiat |
Up here, the dealer buys and sells Maples and Britannias at the same price Curiously, Silver Eagles have a higher premium but the buy back rate is the same as silver bars Comment from : Racer X |

Hi, you probably already have been told this but the earlier Britannia coins DO have 1 Troy ounce of 999 in them Just like the full Krugerrand, extra alloys are added, copper I think The Krugerrand states it has 1 Troy ounce of999 goldbut the coin itself is actually 22ct gold due to the copper added, which makes the krugerrand around 34gms It’s exactly the same with the earlier Britannia coins The alloy is added to reduce the silver content to Britannia silver grade, there is infact Britannia graded silver jewellery but its few and far between Also it’s a higher grade than sterling The is still a full 1 Troy ounce of 999 silver in these coins 🪙 brHope I’ve explained that ok and it doesn’t sound like a load of garbage lol Comment from : MILKY LUFC 🇬🇧 |

Maples and Britannia's are my favorite, the ASE's look like a binary gender giant with a bundle of grass walking into the sun, has a high premium, and are easier to counterfeit I'm American and will barely touch the things lol mostly because of the high premium though, not worth Comment from : Death by Fitness |
00:38 WHY the glove It is not going to "Melt" if you touch it with your hands AND At the end of the day it is only an ounce of silverbrIt's hardly ever going to be worth SERIOUS money If it had been a GOLD Britannia I would have said yes Wear gloves when you handle it brBut it is like $27 worth of Silver? (As of 2nd Feb 2021) brPutting protective gloves on to handle $27 worth of silver????? REALLY! Comment from : Brian said it so it Must be true |

I'm from the UK and I've given up buying the silver Britannia's due to both the VAT and the premiums contributing to around 40 - 45 of the total cost of buying them I'm focusing more on gold right now Comment from : Alan7997 |

Capital gains tax free for UK residents Comment from : duames |
Buying the Brittanias, or Philharmonics at a good price is a wonderful thing, BUT, when you go to resell them (here in the US), some LCS’s aren’t even interested in purchasing them, or only willing to pay generic prices (generally $50 to $1 under spot) If I’m buying any silver, it’s gonna be the silver in the greatest demand (the American Silver Eagle), most recognizable, easiest to resell to anybody, and in my opinion, the most beautiful Comment from : Victor Frankenstein |
Just got 10 of them, they are much better looking in hand I was impressed, the security background is very nice Comment from : jenette16 |
