I don't think silver and gold becoming money again is impossible We just need good trends starting brIf someone would pay you in gold and silver modern currency, lets say 3 gold philharmonics a month, would the taxman take gold value or face value in tax? Comment from : @willci |
The price of silver has always remained relatively constant It’s inflation that made minting these coins at face value prohibitively expensive Comment from : @farticlesofconflatulation |
I love old coinsI have a Georgian crown and a half franc from 1834 as well as a few Netherlands 10 cents coins which are really small (smaller than a 3d) some pre-decimal and US silver excluding most crowns and dollars as it works out cheaper than bullion (I have 10 maples) brMy next coin is going to be a 20 balboa from Panama but that will be in the new year Comment from : @jamieparker4010 |
1966 Australian 50c was 80 silver Comment from : @joshkent4888 |

Never say never History repeats, it may not be soon, but I would bet they will indeed be used again For most of history we have used this type of money Infact Texas as well as other US States have made gold legal tender for all forms of payment You can debit your gold holdings from a card or withdraw the physical bullion as well Comment from : @MrThe1234guy |

The Colombia, the Britannia, lady liberty, germania and miss swiss actually are representing a ancient goddess known as many names and usually accompanied by two beasts one on each of her sides She is also know as the queen of Babylon, isis, ishtar or the woman of many waters She was even song about quite possibly in stairway to heaven by sir led zeppelin with the assistance of Jimmy page She's a lady we all know, who shines bright light and wants to show how everything still turns to gold and if you listen very hard, she will come to you at last when one are all and all are one to be a rock and not roll Comment from : @silvershiner7008 |

I wouldn’t be so sure that silver money will NEVER be in circulation again I suppose the French thought their “assignats” would last forever also Comment from : @MilledSteel |
Swiss 5 franc pieces of silver came out a last time in 1969, because it was actually and intentionally underweight compared to smaller denominations The real fun with coins from Switzerland is that some still circulate unrecognizedly, albeit rarely I know people who could fine some in their daily transactions Greetings, nice video! Comment from : @johannesbeifuss542 |
The 1910 Canadian 50 cent piece is 925 Silver Cool video! Comment from : @jessicapoulin909 |

Collecting old world silver coins, make stacking silver much more fun, especially when your budget is struggling You can always collect one or two six pences, for as little as £3 at a car boot sale or a market, or sometimes on eBay Just takes a bit of schooling so you know what silver content your getting to is it visable to cost brI like the Swiss coins you had Comment from : @Mushgins |

Try reading some of the many WROL audio books on YouTube Silver and gold are often the only money that has any value Of course, that wont really ever happen BUT how many " real" currencies have become valueless in the last 100 years? Comment from : @romanbrough |
I love constitutional silver, a big part of my stack are old european silver coins In most cases they are the cheapest option to buy silver It's really hard to pick a favorite of the coins you showed us 7:13 the 1863 should be 80 silver and not 90, 8:07 the 5 Franc coin from 1969 was also 835 silver Comment from : @andreg3912 |
