I went to an auto complex that had both Honda and Toyota franchisesbrI really really wanted an Odyssey I like Honda's styling better than ToyotabrWe've admired the odyssey on the road, and I was impressed when I looked at itbrTest driving? A whole other matter I had a CRV with CVT trany No shifting The odyssey didn't shift well On the highway I pulled out to pass and stepped on the gasit could not make up its mind which gear to be in, bucked and I had to pull back over because of a car coming up on mebrI went to the Toyota side and drove a Sienna BIG difference!brThe Toyota had pep and zip, no deciding which gear to be in, as it's CVT Another plus is the AWD, which my CRV had, but the Odyssey didn't I bought the SIENNA XLE! Hopefully Kia will honor the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty, assuming the engine that Kia USA says they put in the Kia matches the engine that the dealership says is actually in the Kia Not that this happened to anyone I know during a recall and subsequent huge malfunction requiring $10,000 worth of repair (FYI this ended up being a class action suit, but I had already moved on to an Odyssey) Comment from : @momofmanda |

As a resident of New England, I am always amused by the flatlander's focus on the necessity of all-wheel drive Safety in Winter conditions requires the ability to go, stop, and steer, all-wheel drive does NOTHING for the latter two It is a frequent sight to see all-wheel drive vehicles off the road in winter conditions while I cruise by in my front wheel vehicle equipped with WINTER tires In a choice between all-wheel with "all-season" tires and front wheel with winter tires, I'll take the latter every time Comment from : @StuartFriedman8888 |

The Sienna Platinum is 63 K MSRP, most dealers will charge markup and none in Southern California have them on the lot You can get a Carnival Hybrid SX Prestige every option with the awesome rear Entertainment System which is pricey at 2,500$ for 55k There are a ton of them available now, you can probably get a better deal than that For that price you could get a set of Genesis rims and blizzaks or Michelin winter tires since you can't get all-wheel drivebrbrThrow in a extended factory warranty to 150k, and let's say 10 years worth of extra gas cost vs the Sienna which gets like 5 mpg better 1200 and you're still at at least $8,000 cheaper compared to the Sienna😂😊 Comment from : @MugatuJag |

I just drove a Pacficia two weeks ago (rental for one day, 800 mile drip) Engine had a little rattle (this was a 25 model, low mileage) and transmission was a bit jerky That said, it was solid, nice to drive and I did like that 2nd and 3rd row seats fully stowed in the floor We loaded a big recliner in the back to take from PA to GA, and had room to spare, enough to make a makeshift bed in front of it and behind the front seats

brVisibility wasn't the greatest, even before the recliner blocking the rear view by 80 or so

brI would definitely want a V6, something that big and heavy won't do well with crappy 4 cylinders, hybrid or not The maintenance costs on Kia and les so Toyota will far outpace the Odyssey Kia has 10/100k warranty, but who cares, we know they won't cover much of anything and you'll have to fight them for a year to get a repair and will need a lawyer to get a replacement engine when that tiny 4cyl melts down, like all Hyundai engines do Comment from : @ovp66223 |

Currently have had my odyssey for 9 years Have loved it but it’s time for something new… after much back and forth on space and cost, seems like another minivan is in my future vs a full size suv (that mpg!?) Something not mentioned, the “blind spot camera” is missing on the new odysseys I am shocked and it’s making me consider another vehicle I think it was called Lane Watch… now I’m trying to find another vehicle 3 rows and blind spot camera That thing has saved me so many times in heavy traffic and changing lanes in my very busy city (Houston) It’s the reason I hate driving husbands Tahoe… his only has the blinking light in the rear view mirrors Safety is entirely different with the blind spot camera :/ Comment from : @ahome9553 |
