I disagree, for my flying V i set ip about 65 gain treble and bass boosted to 8 or 9 and mids at 3 or 4 Tiny bit of reverb, i have a ibanez overdrive pedal i keep at 75 overdrive 100 tone and level With that i sound basically spot on to metallica ride the lighting tone as i can on a boss katana
