This might seem like a waste of time, but I and probably a few others are getting good insight before the learner's course part about to take my road course, and I haven't ridden since I burned my leg as a 10 or 12 yr old I can barely rememberbrbrBut this vid 7:25 and tips like this reminded me of Learning how to drive cars on my 1976 TR6, man what an insanely fun starter car but that clutch was super low to the floor

I dumped the bike the other day cause I was trying to walk with the bike I was struggling cause I had to tippy toe the whole time and my legs were getting tired So when I walked and made a turn the bike fell over and I fell with it I forgot to mention I’m a 5’0 girl and I’m hoping I’ll get the hang of it soon

I took my MSF probably 20 years ago My instructors couldn't have been better Half my class was getting on a bike that day for the first time Instructors can absolutely make our break your learning! This was a great video!

The street legal 250cc dirt bike I just bought requires me to engage the front brake to start it instead of using the clutch Seems weird to me, especially if I happen to stall it out while it's moving because I'd basically have to come to a complete stop before I could restart it Is this common or is it just wired backwards or something? It's got me a little confused

I took the MSF course twice, (failed the first because I didn’t trust myself or the bike, got under half my points the second time and passed) both classes were great instructors and even better students I’m sure there are some bullheaded/bigoted people in motorcycling, but after watching this video it is even more cemented in my mind that most motorcyclists are great people wanting to help others and better themselves He was a great student with two great instructors

I remember I was 13 and my dad threw me on a crf150, bike wasn’t idling and had basically no front brakes I climbed on and he explained to me the gears and how I had to have the clutch in while shifting and while stopping Fell over first time I started moving and popped the clutch the second time that really got my blood pumping that day and started something😅

btw in the MSF course when they first have u apply throttle they had me apply gas a bit of gas BEFORE starting to release so we wouldn't worry about movement of the throttle while moving already

I am currently learning how to ride on my moms old honda twinstar I have minor experience on a dirtbike as a kid but don't remember anything Two days into training, the first of which was spent stalling, I am able to efficiently start and get to second gear on the long driveway Most of the reason I was having such a problem the first day was my nerves, I knew what to do but my body just kinda didn't do it Second day was told "just ride it" and they handed me the keys and went inside leaving me by myself Nailed the first start without stalling and didn't stall for the rest of the time spent riding back and forth on the gravel road I was told before i started "It's easy, once you get it, you won't have any problems and it will just click" Truer words have never been spoken Just hoping when the time comes to hit the asphalt it's the same story

That very first day on two wheels is very special, man I remember when I first rode a 125cc and I thought "man this pulls hard!" I remember the fear, the connection I inmediately felt to the bike, the excitement All those feelings came back watching this You will only have a first time so it always will be special, and sharing it with others makes it even more special too Great video Pappa Yams 💙

I first rode a dirt bike at a busy motocross track Whiskey throttled and held on and almost drove straight into a pool, but was finally able to slow it down enough to fall off This would have been very helpful lol

Y'all should totally do an episode on how dangerous scooters are for motorcyclists Once Upon a Time my ex-wife had this 2stroke 50cc Yamaha Faggio(GTA Name for Vespa) and I was trotting around town, testing it out I came up to a protected left hand turn at an intersection, the arrow turned yellow as I was entering the intersection, so I "gunned" it and leaned into the turn as one might a sportbike, the asphalt caught the edge of the wide base plate of the scooter, and ripped it out from under me and we slid across the intersection with cars going in crap I think I scared the little lady behind me cuz she was Jaw dropped and just stopped in the intersection just starring at me after jump back up in Adrenaline induced rage, bloodied on my left side of my body from road with clothes in tatters, lifted the faggio above my head and threw it off the road I think faggios are the most dangerous motorcycles!
