i got my first bike and i practiced in hte parking lot for 15 mins and went on the road and drove home, it was scary asf and i stalled multiple times but thankfully i had experience on automatic mopeds and made it home safely, Jesus is king!

I just took the MSF course last weekend Even when I was staring to feel really confident going around cones and such, I looked up at one point on a straight away and the trees and landscape absolutely disoriented me I spent so much time focused on the black pavement and the lines on the parking lot, but realize I have so much to learn as it translates over to real life riding

Honestly I think you should be able to lane split especially at lights so you don't have to worry about a car hitting you from behind so you can move to the front of the line

I''ll give my main concerns/tips: brialways/i prep to slow through an intersection and watch for left turners or morons going right on red brialways/i point your bike to enable a safety lane split (not directly behind car) when stopping in traffic and iwatch the mirrors/i because if you get rear-ended, that's it I like hanging in the left side so oncoming cars (and left turners) see me so when the light goes green I don't get driven into Unless you're turning right of course I glue my eyes to the mirror until the person behind me is stoppedbrinever/i stay still on the highway Move the hell away from cars on your sides Cars are lava, you move away

OK a 1 second following distance (it takes only one second to move to the place the vehicle in front of you was one second earlier) is way too little I would consider 2 seconds an absolute minimum and 3 or more to be really comfortablebrbrAnd I have no clue about laws in the US, but here, not stopping at a stop sign is a violation, no matter how empty the road looks So please consider giving a good example in a video like this

Why are you not signaling your lane changes? You're just changing lanes willy-nilly without letting other motorists know your intention or what you're about to do That is a bad idea Part of safely operating a motorcycle is using your turn signal Otherwise, decent video and instruction

@8:20 weird how we're taught in Toronto to be in blocking position which is left end of the lane as this makes you visible but there's the risk of people not checking when switching lanes It makes sense to be on the right end of the lane to avoid potential collisions but you need to do the instinctually and logically wrong thing to pass the final road test
