Why would an IRA have more fees than a 401K? Aren't IRA's self-directed? I only have a Roth IRA with Fidelity, not a traditional IRA, but my Roth IRA doesn't have any fees other than expense ratios for different investments There's no service fee because I'm doing all the investing myself 10:05 Are you talking about fees for a financial advisor to manage the IRA for you? Retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs often didn’t save enough during their working years Retirement planning plays a significant role in shaping outcomes For example, both of my parents spent the same number of years in civil service, but while my mom invested through a wealth manager, my dad relied solely on his 401(k) The difference in their financial stability is clear Comment from : @Greatopportunity-s2e |

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for Comment from : @IfranReinfeld |

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800 Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family Comment from : @RiggiosMiners |

Finally I understand the options Been retired for 3 years with Fidelity and they just take of this for me, but I really did not know what they were doing or why, or how much and when, I have just been depending on them Would like to start paying more attention and become more knowledgeable though so I have subscribed Comment from : @MikeStallings2023 |

At 595 yrs can one rollover 401K to IRA even though he/she still works for the same company? OR should that person be fully retired to do the rollover to IRA? Comment from : @ajaynair2636 |

the strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skills and knowledge Comment from : @Sanchyfab |

It's recommended to save at least 15 of your income in a 401k You can use online calculators to estimate how much you should save based on your age and income Saving at least 15 of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably By saving this much, you can take advantage of compound interest and potentially grow your retirement savings over time Comment from : @dianemoore- |

To be kinda blunt, I am giving up on investing in stocks I put between 20000 to 30000 a month and it's nothing but down down Sooooo frustrating and I only invest in boring big companies How can I capitalize in such a market? Comment from : @AlbertGReene-p8w |

Retiring next spring at 55 55 allows for 401k access and in our case employer medical benefits We will need to leave some in the 401k as a bridge until 595 The rest is rolled into our IRA's and Roth IRA's as we have a chuck of Roth 401k money as well This residual 401k money will also act as a source of cash for Roth conversion tax money Comment from : @rayanderson3164 |

Is it the age of 55 or the age of 59 1/2 when you can get the 401l without penalty?? Comment from : @agustinob1 |

I appreciate the THOROUGH discussion of the different options thank you VERY MUCH Comment from : @bobackerman54 |

The outfit my 401k is in is stuck in 1980 The only way to get the money moved to Fidelity or say Vanguard is a check in the mail that has the great potential of being lost or stolen Worse, the process according to the 401K provider, can take up to a month WTH!! Comment from : @myvenusheeler |

My spouse and I are adding a variety of stocks/ETF to my present holdings for the long term, We've set aside $250k to start following inflation-indexed bonds and stocks of companies with solid cash flows, I believe it is a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it wouldn't hurt to know means of actualizing short term profit Comment from : @Freyabates08 |

I have an employee sponsored low fee 401k Upon separation I will be forced to do something with that money I was going to bite the bullet and convert it (500k) to a Roth and pay the taxes but now think it makes more sense to do a regular Roth to avoid the tax implications Do you agree and do you have any recommendations on low fee alternative broker that I can research? I am currently tied to vanguard Comment from : @ibenglish |
