I don't think the Tube Screamer tightens anything, like so many people say What it does is compress - and compress way too much Boss Blues Driver is a much better pedal in my opinion

many people don't know this but the overdrive pedal was first intended to emulate the tones of a cranked up tube amp without having to crank up your tube amp ie, to push you to breakup at lower volumes
