The number one reason to me not to buy slabbed coins is that they cost a lot more money and probably can't be sold for a profit When it comes to coins that are circulated or almost uncirculated it is easy to tell if they are the same coin by examining the imperfection with the verification image on the PCGS or NGC web-site so I am not that worried about fake slabs Generally speaking I don't buy slabbed coins because of the higher price

US I get top pop slabs off and on Mostly deal/collect now Narrowed it down to only 2 type coins overall low pop last Century Too much supply Might get occasional errors

First of all they're verifiable and I can check the registry and see how much they're valued at so I know why dealers wouldn't want that I don't stack slabbed coins but I will buy them occasionally based on value and limited edition if there's 25,000 Trump coins that are slabbed at proof ultra Cameo you better I'm going to buy them if they're only 25,000 of them left worldwide but otherwise I will buy the stacked 10 oz or 5 oz bars

I bought a few toned quarters and now I am wondering if they are real these coins are in very good shape either ms67 or very close and now it turns out that one of them is very rare! Who can I talk to or show this quarter too will PCGS or NCG look at it? and I have another question I have been putting pennies away for 30 years and my wife for 25 years and many of the pennies have this black stuff on them! so thick you cannot read the date I cleaned one off and it made the 10inch by 10 inch white rag completely black and this one penny I worked on for 8 hours over two days ,it looks good now but now it isn't worth as much but if you cannot read the date it isn't worth anything right! there must be a way to clean them faster and not damage them!

Slabbing is THE worst thing ever in numismatics - FANTASY 'grading'! I've been collecting coins and banknotes since 1982, and would NEVER go near it I've bought only 2 or 3 'slabbed' Isle of Man banknotes, and cut them out in DISGUST!!

I learned my lesson on an anacs 1889cc, they were very rare, couldn't even find them except in ag03, so I bought this from a dealer online I had good luck with previously well I dropped it and the slab just popped open and a week later they started popping up all over in roughly the same grade in ANACS holders, I've had it for years, I guess it's about to send it in to see if it's even real

Lately I been buying slabbed Morgan dollars with CAC stickers they do hold a secondary market price range of their own … but again buy the coin and not slab we all heard that saying … but market wise I always was able to to sell a Slabbed coin with CAC sticker quicker and buy an upgraded coin to replace the one I’ve sold its way I’ve been seeing market since CAC first started stickering coins… I do trust CAC sticker… John Albanese started CAC he graded for NGC I believe he help founded PCGS back in the days he looked and graded more coins than I’ve ever looked at in my lifetime… that’s one reason to collect slabbed coins with CAC sticker
