Haven’t had any of my coins graded but I do believe that some of my Melbourne sovereigns and some rare ones may be worth grading I do have some proof modern sovereigns and queens beasts in bullion those I think may not be worth grading I buy all my coins in the raw ( fully clothed of course) so far I am still willing to look at both sides of the grading coin oh Melbourne young heads are your fault Lol Comment from : @sherabnamdhak6485 |

I think premium here in us for graded often wayy more than grade cost i only buy low mintage and i like having the very valuable graded but as you sad i sent 2 identical 2009 st gaudens in to pcgs from mint never out of capsule one got 69 other 70 so at least for pcgs it soured me on grading but i have bought your ideas in british 2017 and 89 and not graded yet Comment from : @robertw9677 |

I have some 1996 Silver Eagles (key date) that I am considering grading NGC value the 96 MS70 at 10k US! There is a big drop to MS69 but still worth doing I think Do you send yours to NGC in europe? Comment from : @spainstacker6402 |

Hi Numistacker, I'm a bullion man myself but I'm thinking of joining the dark side and starting a few numismatic collections If a coin was very, very rare but not in the best condition; would you still have it graded? I'm talking less than ten thousand made but probably less than AU50 Just looking for some guidance Cheers Comment from : @motiv8145 |

Great video, fantastic sovereigns! I was looking at them on ebay awhile back & I saw a good deal on a proof sovereign but I passed on it The detail on the horse & St George wasn't very good you couldn't see the muscle on st George or the horse like you can on the bullion version is that normal for the proofs? The dragon wasn't as detailed either, it was an individual selling it for cheaper than a bullion sovereign so I backed out I was worried it might be a fake Any info you can let me know would be greatly appreciated, thanks!! I really love pre 1933 graded coins It is so difficult and risky to guess the condition without proper certification I bought a beautiful 1904 $20 Liberty Head Double Eagle MS 64 for just u$s 1600 I don't know if I would have bought it raw, and probably wouldn't have guessed the correct grade Anyhow, catalogue price is over 2300, so it was a bargain Comment from : @marianowini575 |

For someone who is clearly and sensibly pro-slab, this was very thoughtful and balanced brI appreciate your tone You were not speaking like a a thin-skin fire breatherbrThanks for putting this video together Comment from : @lpandy21 |

So far I have only picked up graded coins of ones that I wanted I will not grade any bullion coin I do have a couple of coins that I am debating on whether to grade I will probably wait until I have at least 10 that I want to grade before sending When you send for grading, how many coins would you send? Comment from : @kenfisher9054 |

Numismatics can be so fickle I'm sticking with bullion and low premium coins Comment from : @davel8116 |

My investment stack is mostly bars and bullion coins I can part with, so these do not need slabbing My personal collection I prefer slabbed as NGC MS70s, but cost is definitely a constraint with the older coins There has been so much fondling in this video LOL :P Take care Numi Comment from : @thinkvesting4023 |

All great points! I am not pro- or anti-slab, for me it just depends on the coin I agree with you, the PF/MS 69 and 70 grades are a bit subjective nowadays A grade of 69 really tanks the value on modern offerings Comment from : @bartsilver2963 |

Good video numi - I do prefer the NGC graded coins over other company's They look like something your iPhone would come in The 1989 Sov had me droooling and I am defiantly going to look into some 1989 graded gold Comment from : @spencer9428 |
|
|
I will be buying mostly gold and platinum maples, and silver bars from here on out So for me, grading is unnecessary Comment from : @Kered-9 |
|
|
I participate in registry sets with the two major grading companies so obviously I purchase a number of graded coins, but I do like and do buy ungraded coins as well (mostly modern and gold) So there you have it, a yes/no answer ;-) Comment from : @notsonew827 |

Slabbed coins have made me a better grader Comment from : @MrSammo1 |

I recently bought a raw Canadian gold coin from 1912 When I went to get an airtight from my dealer, he told me that it was a very good coin and that I should get it graded I have a hesitation about this, but would like your opinion I made a video about it, so you can see the coin Thanks for any advice Comment from : @mimaroo1431 |
