comparison with pcs only on paper doesnt make much sense the apples power is integrity with software and quality, eg sound quality and screen I had xps 15 and my eyes were hurting so much from the display so I went back to macbook pro These are different league computers in my opinion Macbook pro plays in higher league than almost any other pcs

I was able to purchase a used Macbook Pro (early 2011 model) from my previous employer about 9 months ago, and so far like it I don't LOVE it, because I won't allow myself to Why, you ask? Because of what you just mentioned - the cost I can't afford to replace it with a new Mac if/when it dies I use Adobe Premiere Elements for the few videos I've done, and can easily use that on Windows, so if I need a replacement at some point, I can move to a windows laptop or desktop for much less money

I broke down and finally upgraded to a 13” MacBook Pro on Sunday the 8th That’s right, 4 days to early As soon as I read the release I called the Apple store Two hours later I am driving home with the 2018 13” replacement, no questions asked Kudos to Apple there That said, buy one of the Satosi? Hubs that plug into the side of the machine I did before I even got home with the original machine It makes the USB-c thing not an issue

I'm on a 2015 15 inch base model MBP - I'm a semi-professional/professional video and photo guy I edit video DAILY on Premiere Pro Apple lost me when the remade Final Cut Pro Maybe one day I'll give the new FCP a shot Either way, what I like about the new 2018's is the option for 32GB of RAM and a SIX core processor but like many have said, the price tag is STEEP A 2018 built to order with 32GB of RAM and a 512SSD is $3K Even if, IF I could get $1,200 for my 2015 I've still got $1800 to make up the difference

I bought my wife, who is a teacher, a MBP because I was tired of cleaning malware and/or viruses at least once a week on her Windows laptop This was despite multiple layers of protection I've never had to mess with her MBP after configuring her printer and scanner To me it was the best money I've ever spent brbrI even used it to make DVD's of my son's Pop Warner football games and sold them to the parents The iMovie and DVD creation software that's built-in was so easy to use, I never use MS software anymore

Its work it just expensive I have a 2016 15 inch MacBook Pro and still runs like a champ! I do quite a bit of photo and some video editing and once you know the keyboard shortcuts you wont really use the tuchbar to much
